What are you looking to get for it?

I vote :thumb: this is an amazing idea..i would totally buy one. Lets see some pics

i would like to see a intake manifold also like the honda guys have then the value cover and manifold would match which is a perfect for lighter parts and show quality too :hellyeah:

Instead of mitsubishi stamped in it, which is a good idea I would like that, but a stamped "dsm" with mitsu, eagle, and chrysler emblem would look real good. Or how about DSM on top and 4G63 on bottom.

if you ever need a tester let me know. Im close to you and could drive up to your area.

Wouldn't a carbon fiber valve cover melt under high temps ?

i dont think it would melt as just a valve cover or a cover for the valve cover i know it isnt touchin the engine but a hood is close to it and it doesnt hurt it and all the heat from the engine bay and what not

soo do we have progress?? i would buy one, so would other brazilians. Here we have a buddy that has a 90% carbon fiber body kit, only the front bumper isnt....but i cant talk about the project, its secret eehehehehh. the owner doesnt want to be copied so he doesnt post infos about it.

I wouldn't trust this guy. I traded him parts for a carbon fiber gas door and never recieved it.

I th ink its time for double face palm...

Carbon Fiber is cool and all.... but IMHO this is a fail situation. Were talking about a high temp, oiled up torqued down piece.

I think it would be sick dude kinda rice but i would buy one

Do you know how strong carbon fiber is??? You dont torque a freakin valve cover down 40ft lbs it would work.......double face palm on yourself dude!!! Just messin no disrespect intended!!:ohdamn:

this would be sick mod, i would wait till its been tested on big turbo motors tho to make sure it wont crack or anything

WTH would that matter?? If you get much if any pressure in your valvetrain/valve cover area, you better be getting a new motor.

Carbon fiber is used for driveshafts, quality carbon fiber would not break from torqueing down the valve cover. Besides, I barely put 10 ft lbs on my valve cover bolts.

The thing I would worry about is chemical/oil resistance properties of carbon. I don't know if it would degrade or not. I know it's stronger than any metal, but I'm not sure if it resists oil like chemicals do.
