with cars you almost always get what you pay for...and killa dsm is right, you dont want to chance it with something concerning safety. Plus you'll regret not spending the extra cash in the long run especially since its going to be something you use everyday. If you spend the extra money you will be glad you did. I know i always am.

I would go with the G force harnesses from like summit or jegs. I think they are like 70 each and actually have the SFI cert.

Those wont be legal to run at the track if you NEED harnesses...

dude why do you want SPOON harnesses in a DSM? leave the kitchen utensils to the HONDA guys. I've had Weapon R harnesses and Yonaka harnesses and they felt really nice and sturdy and come with a badge like the Gforce belts to tell you when they're out of "inspection" or whatever it is.

yea i would get a trusted name brand seenig how youre replacing a major safety feature! aslo think about mounting i know sparco has a harness bar, i would also check that out. they are a direct bolt in to the stock seatbelt torx bolts. :dsm:

i figured this would be the response i got. what about netami 4 pt. harnesses with camlock. i found some locally for $80 brand new for the pair. i also found some sparco tourismo 4 pt. with the cheaper no camlock belt design for $100 for the pair

I must say i agree with the others. buyin 'off brand' or cheap versions of things is never a good idea. ESPECIALLY when it comes to safety. Also i've always had problem with cheap things from ebay. they never stand up to what the good product does. spend the extra money and get the good reliable stuff.

Kinda like condoms. If you had one brand by Justwanaphuk and one by Trojan or Durex at 4x the cost. Not like I know anything about this since I am 32 with 5 kids.. LOL :banghead: :banghead:

Humm...I don't think you want 5pt Camlocks on those man, Just get 4pt's and Definitely get reputable name ones. Someone on here was going to sell me a set of Corbeau's for 80 shipped look around.

I picked them up last night. I have to find some "i" bolts or something to mount them to becuase they are the quick release ones not the direct bolt in, any suggestions?

hardware store doesnt carry them, automotive bolts like that have a higher pitch (threads per inch) and the hardware store doesnt carry welded eye bolts so they have a small space that would allow them to strighten out with any kind of impact. i tried ebay thinking there would be some but only found 1 guy selling them in the uk for 14.95 a peice

I have a place right by my house I get all of my things from. They carry ANY kind of fastener, bolt, screw, whatever you can think of.:hellyeah:

...are you going to use there everyday? and do you need cam locks for the track, i dont really know track rules that much.

i do know when i had camlocks, they got annoying really quick. I switched to 4 point belts with one buckle in the middle, not 3. And the girlfriend HATED the belts, but damn did she look good in them, ha

Ihave the 4 points with the 1 buckle in the middle, not the camlock. i plan on using them every day, i hear they get annoyying but so do the damn auto belts since they dont work anyway. i found some on jegas and other sights like that for $5 a peice but thats still pretty pricy when you need 8 of them, so ill try sparco. hey 1995gst whats the place called? maybe i have one of them by me!

It's called "That Fastener Place"

Post a pic up when you get these installed. I'm a sucker for harness belts.
It is annoying but you feel like a totally different person when you get in em. Made me feel cool :)

Watch out for the police, if you get a cop who hates everything or studies his traffic manual they'll ticket you because there not DOT certified....trust me. I had to pay a ticket for not wearing a seat belt when i had a harness on in my camaro needless to say i was a bit pissed.
