Hi all , Just finshed up some installs over the weekend. Fuel pump wally, 680's and DSM STG 3 chip( Burned for all my my mods) Started the car and man it was RICH, So bad it idled like it had cams.. Man I thought I could get away for a few days with out installing the FPR. Anyway took the car for ride and man it pulls hard, ( E316G) on 12 psi break in period.. But doesnt want to idle, lumpy and wants to stall:ohdamn: I guess I should have installed it right away. Anyway the only thing I will hurt is the plugs if I drive it for a few days before I install the FPR? Also for anyone with the DSM chip on GVR4 I had them burn a knock on the factory boost gauge, But I don't think its working cause at WOT the gauge is full. That would mean knock no? But how can that be with that much fuel? Any info will help, Thanx guys

There is a such thing as rich knock. Reach you hand back there and make sure it not just loose. I had that problem also. You could depending on how rich you're running, wash out your cylinders and contaminate your oil. I'm not sure but I think it takes a while to do that tho.

I'm sorry what would be loose?

And you're washing the oil off the rings and cylinder walls, leading to scuffing and scoring. If it's enough too-much, you can also dilute your oil and destroy the engine's bearing. Everywhere.

Engines don't put up with "just a little off", and the less so for turbocharged ones. Do it right or don't run it.

Definitly will take the above to heart have not driven the car since then. I will be putting in the FPR tonight( Or hope I get it finished tonight), an then gettng a oil change. An the knock sensor. Where is it. I dont think I every had to look at that before.
