i was told a secaII is a good bike for beginners

I like the Seca I better personally, but yes... they are great beginner bikes. They can be had typically under $1500 and they are as reliable as a revolver.

I'd recommend this site to you... a friend of mine owns it and it is a great wealth of knowledge for beginner bikers.

Misinformation because you obviously have no idea what the word even implies would be. "hey i know for a fact that them yamaha r1 are so slow", "A vw bus full of Samoan hippy's could pass you up" Misinformation shows intent to hide something or swaying the person into believing something that is far from the truth.

That's called disinformation genius.

Is webster a liar as well?

I've owned a sport bike for 5+ years now so I know more than a thing or two about them. I've built a couple bikes custom from the ground up. Something I doubt you have the intelligence to do.

And... There has never been a two stroke Ninja. End of story. Unless you are extremely intelligent with an engineering degree and made it into a two stroke. Judging by your grammar and attitude you possess neither intelligence nor an engineering degree. Go back to your fantasy world.

I've ridden a Seca II and I wasn't crazy about it. Extremely soft suspension, weak brakes, and little power.

I'd agree - that's why I like the Seca I better. IMHO, it's just about perfect for a beginner biker. It's got enough power to get out of it's way, it's got good brakes, and they are extremely reliable. Cycle Recycle also has a pretty healthy stock of parts for them. It's not the prettiest bike in the world, but for a rookie it's hard to beat.

Another good option is a Kawasaki 650R Ninja. Great bike! Parallel twin 650 with a good bit of torque that handles decent and brakes well. I talked a friend into buying one for their first bike. They've been extremely happy with it.

Yea, I was thinking about getting a bike but right now my mom thinks im going to get killed and my dad thinks there are too many assholes out there for bikes (someone the family knew was hit dead on by a drunk driver riding his bike and he was killed)
so i don't think i would be getting one anytime soon
but i drove bikes before and i grew up riding dirtbikes at my buddies house haha
i drove a ninja, the seca I and seca II i just dont dig the way the seca 1 looks

If you know how to shift a bike or quad i honestly think you can figure out how to ride anything else. A handful of front brake or rear brake is going to hurt on a 250 as it will a Busa. I had a 04 gsxr 1k as my first bike, given i had dirtbikes prior to that but thats like comparing apples to oranges. 50 horsepower and 180 horsepower are both controlled by your right hand and as long as you dont go getting ballzy and trying to do a highchair the first time you ride you will be okay and better off in the long run. Few months after i had my bike i put 3000 or so miles on it and decided to hop on my friends 600.....which i tossed around (feel like i did anyways) like a bicycle.

Im a 26 year old female and my first bike was a 02 cbr f4I was perfect for learning on.

I have heard F4i's make great first bikes. They can usually be had for a reasonable price as well. I wouldn't spend alot on my first bike because you have the best chance of dropping your first one.

ive riden dirt bikes almost all my life so i have the general knowledge on how to ride a motorcycle ive never ridden in street tires though, im not worried about getting on it and being a... well lets say im not gonna be to stupid on it im pretty level headed and i know my limits on certain things. i only posted to see whether others had things that others did not like specs and features and stuff. i think i wanna get an r1 my buddy has an r6 he says he recommends that over an r1 idk why once again just posted to find out the pros and cons of certain bikes to try and help me make a decesion. i really like gsxr's but i like r1's and r6's idk much about cbr's idk i just was seeing if anyone had a personal oppion

ive ridden all of the new big four liters and if i had to pick one itd be the 08 and up cbr1k. its just so small and has a noticeable low end over the others.

i dont really like r1s because theyre so huge and wide and the '09 r1 is overrated imho, its heavy and noticeably slower then its competition

the 08 zx10 rips but nothing really stands out to me exceptionally good or bad

the gsxr would be my second choice but being a little bigger and the aesthetics would have me go with the cbr. i hate the standard mount dual exhaust.

ive also ridden the new 848, way too uncomfortable imo, track weapon for sure

600s- blah id get one for a racebike but with the riding i do up here at altitude theyre just obnoxious.

what my garage usually looks like LOL, my buddies and i love switching bikes

I totally agree with you. I've ridden dirt bikes and quads but not much before, and I bought an 09 ninja 250r this year. I like that it can be tossed into a corner and is really good on gas, but as soon as I got comfortable with it and opened the throttle i was pretty disappointed. I dont even have that much fun riding it anymore and im just looking forward to getting something bigger when I have money.
