Over all it came out good. Some of your transitions could be smoother but nothing to bad and the beads don't look to shabby either.

Yeah the transitions could have been more smooth, but there smoother then they look . And yeah I could have done a better job if I took more time . Glad you like though.

Looks very good man, I like what you did ovaling that FMIC pipe.
How much do you think that resonator can helps?

Honestly it didn't help as much as I would have liked it too but it did help some . But oh well LOL it is what it is I guess .

looks good man i wish i had a tig and could use it.. Hows the half rad treat you? prob drag only?

Yeah man I wish I had my own tig as well :( . And honestly I haven't got to test the rad out yet . But I don't think I will have a problem with it . As for the use of the car . More like a weekend drive here and there street car

Very cool. Custom fab stuff like this is awesome. I've done some very, very simple fabrication... brackets and such. Would love to learn to weld and be able to do some stuff like this.

Thanks . Yeah I've always been into fabing stuff or changing things even before I could weld. But now it's so much fun . At first I was scared to do somethings because i didn't want to mess anything up or whatever . But you just have to try and sit back think about what it is you Want to make and do it . If you mess up learn from it and move on and try if again . Get a nice little mig machine with gas. Don't get flux core it'd messy and welds don't look that good . It's good if you will be welding outside because there's no gas the wind can blow away . If you have gas and you outside if the wind blows it away the weld is no good . Just a little info LOL . Go fab and enjoy . Plus making you own parts makes you enjoy it alot more . And it's nice to say. " I " built that LOL . When most get there stuff built . There are things I would not know how or where to start building but that's how it is sometimes . Also the right tools you don't have or don't have the money for .

Man, very nice work..... I like the Alt relocation (well all of it's top notch work!! so Kudos to yoU! )

I've been on a home project with my painting company for so long now i think i forget what it's like to get to fab something up LOL..Just kidding, I've been making some stufff lately but mainly it's all tooling or jigs for proijects and products i've been working on lately. But I've been so swamped for the last 3 months that i haven't gotten to do anything for myself... I will thankfully get to replace my cracked brake rotor today ( and when i say cracked i mean from one edge to the other right through the middle.. so bad it ate the new pad off in a week of easy driving to limp it in to work every day) But, after this week it's back to metal working as i've got a lot of things in the works. Just got your PM today, will get back at you here in a few on that..

later

VERY NICE fab work secondnature. Would you be interested in building me a top mount turbo manifold for my T3 Holset? I'm very excited to put the turbo on the car right now, but if you could build me a nice top mount I would have all the more reason to pop my hood for people. :thumb: I'm using the forward facing oil filter bracket just like you and have a 4 bolt 46mm wastegate on the car right now.

You know what . I really wish i could say yes. I want to build one , but a few things stop me.

1. I`ve never build one before.

2. I dont have the car or the turbo to build the manifold off of.

Like i said i really wish i could ,but i cant right now. Sorry man :( .
It would be so much fun and lots of experience for me.

I like the enthusiasm, but Im sorry, those welds do not look very good at all.

Call me an ass, its been a long day.

I'm a pretty nice guy and Most of the time wouldn't say anything back but . Just because you had a bad day doesn't mean you can cut me down and take your bad day on me . Yeah my welds aren't the best . But at least Everything there I can say " I " built . Also I've seen welders that have been welding for way longer then me , and they can't weld for crap. Most people don't even know how to turn a welder on or even know where to start . I'm not a perfect person and this isn't a perfect world . But at least I try to do my own thing. If you can do better then I'm happy for you. Hope you have a better day

On a lighter note, I think they looks pretty good, especially the intercooler piping. It looks AWESOME! Is it made out of SS, if so, why didnt you use aluminum.
Also, sorry if you've been asked this before, but what machine are you running?

real nice work!

may i have some more info on the alt relocation piece?

Great fab work and a good attitude to boot. Have you ever been to home made turbo?

My first collector - HomemadeTurbo - DIY Turbo Forum

Post #4 is someone being nice... I just assume that when some people weld, it's on a nuclear reactor and the fate of an entire city is at hand. When I weld, it's to keep a $200 turbo from falling down and a $50 exhaust attached to the car.

Anyway, keep going. Car is clean, fab is great so far. Inspiring me to fire up the tig and the sawzall :rocks:

just posting up my IM that i made...... took me six attempts before i did decent welds all the way round.
