What kind of vehicle do you need? In all honesty i have my dsm but if i could find someone to give me what i wanted for it id sell it in a heart beat.....then probably buy a 1g LOL.

Evo's have a lot of the same problems we have currently. I had an 05 IS300 and it was slow, insurance was stupid high, payments were high as well, and it was ssslllllooooowwwww!

If you're going for economy buy something toyota, for fun buy a nissan or evo, or if you're feelin frisky and you want something you can haul $hit with, there's a really good market on f350s and dually's right now; i cant parallel park a caddy let alone a truck or i would have already bought one haha

Do you have a job lined up to pay for this car? I'm going to say, a car that you can afford. If your car costs more (the purchase price) than 1/4 of your yearly salary, you spent too much.

IE: If you make $100k/year, the most you should pay for a car is $25k. Save the rest of the $$ and put it away for the future.

Go play with fun cars once you have money to burn.

Also, if you get a fun car, be sure to have a separate daily driver that can get you to/from work when the toy breaks.

it kinda looks like you want to stay sporty/tuner but what price range are you looking at?

with a decent salary i would buy any one of these for a DD assuming i already have my awd DSM that i still want so badly:

Dodge Charger R/T
Jeep Wrangler JK
and the IS300 seems like a nice car as well

i know alot of people who buy EVO's and just end up getting rid of their DSM but its still a great car
that i would want to get as well.

Plus just look how sexy it is. And yes that is mine

I agree with you that M3's are amazing cars but the problem is the people who think they are better than everyone else just because they have a BMW ruin it.

to the OP, get whatever you want, but for the love of pete, DO NOT get a ricer

Agreed. Most of my friends are BMW owners and i will agree that we kinda can act like that from time to time. But once u get to know ppl that own BMWs their not that bad. :idontknow:

What's the difference between BMW drivers and a porcupine?... One has pricks on the inside :D ;)

ROFL! HAHAHHAH! I loved that. He deserves some rep points for that ROFL

Not sure if you care about mpg, but I bought the wife a 2005 SRT-10 Quad cab and it's by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. Plus you can fit all your friends in it, and it's still very quick.

SOOOOOOO....you're not going to buy a car because of the stereotype of it's owners?? Great decision there- remind me to never vote for you to become president...

Yes, M3's were amazing cars... 20 years ago. Now they are obese luxury yachts. BMW hasn't made a true sports car in years. All their new cars are computers with 4 wheels and a steering wheel.

The IS350 was largely superior. Not as quick as the DSM, but it is faster past x MPH.

Lexus and their parent company, Toyopet, make very good appliances.

ARE YOU HIGH. I know u honestly have to be joking right. U must not know ANYTHING about BMWs. Just go look up the new m6, m5, and m3 and then come tell me they havent made a true sports car in years. Shit iv nvr lost to a stock dsm yet, new evo, old evo, none. So do some research before u post stuff. ### that post makes u sound like an idiot. Iv been on this site for a while and thats by far the dumbest comment iv heard yet. :tease:

I've owned 4 BMW's. I've driven all you listed above.

They haven't made a sports car in years.

The new M's are obese luxury yachts. The M division lost my respect the second they quit cutting weight and technology and instead simply added more power to make their cars keep up appearance in the 0-60 department. They even put the coveted M on SUV's now... absolute blasphemy.

With the years of experience I've had not only working on BMW's but driving them as well, I stand 100% behind my statement.

If you want to drive a true BMW sports car, go rock an M1, E30 M3, 2002tii, or an M Coupe. Those are BMW sports cars. Go try to autocross a new M3 against a E30 M3, then tell me with a straight face the new M3 is a sports car. The E30 M3's make the new M3's feel like a Chrysler New Yorker in comparison. Also interesting to mention... the Cobalt Turbo, which is FWD and Chevrolet's entry-level econobox, heftily beat the new M3 on Road & Track's handling test earlier this year.
