I have searched but have not found much information on differences between rear diffs other than auto or manuals. I have this differential that came in a car I bought a while ago and it has just been sitting. The car was swapped from an Auto to a Manual, so I'm not sure if this was the Auto or Manual diff, if it's LSD or not, etc...

So I was hoping with the following pictures somebody can help me out, or point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Look like a MT 4-bolt non-LSD. I don't see a LSD sticker but that could have worn off. For sure it is a 4-bolt from a 1G MT based on the gear ratio displayed.

No, I've never seen a 1g diff that looked like that. Its a 2g diff, based on the sticker, I'd say non LSD (LSD sticker says Viscous LSD BFH). Looks like 3.545 for the ratio, which I believe is for the manual.

Thanks! I was pretty sure it was a 2G Non-LSD Manual from the start but just wanted to make sure. I now see where the ratio is actually listed on the differential itself which I did not know before hand. And it does not have any kind of LSD stickers which would make sense as the axles that were left in the shell also were non LSD.

The gearing is definitely manual transmission. I would assume its non-lsd as said because every dsm rear i've seen will say Viscous LSD if that's the case

Yup, you caught me. I need to review when I post.(typing with the silly ps3 controller)

To the OP, sorry for unintentional misinformation. I agree with daren_p. 2G MT, non-lsd.
Mea culpa.
