Anyone know of any cheap ways to get airline tickets? I'm looking to go from Omaha, NE to San Diego from December 28 - January 3rd. Dates are slightly flexible. The lowest price I can find for a round-trip in economy class is about $500. I won't spend that much. Anyone know how to get any cheaper?

Not sure if they fly to where you are going, but I've gotten from Ft Wayne, In to Clearwater, FL for 200 round trip on Alegan (Spelling???) Air. They don't go to lots of places, but you could try there. Going to be hard to get a good deal as that is when everyone wants to fly for the holidays.

Oh that's a good idea. I've heard good things from that airline. I'm going to check now. I know, my timing sucks but hey you can't change the dates of the holiday's.

EDIT: It's only about $300 before taxes but I would have to drive about 4 hours from my house to the airport and I would have to fly to LA instead of SD but I may be able to make it work. Thanks.

Become or befriend someone working for an airline or that's a flight attendant and ask for a buddy pass...usually anywhere in the US for 50 bucks and anywhere PERIOD for 125-150.
