All this because my boss was on her rag and had to stay 5mins after her shift to help unload a truck WTF all it was 5 mins only. I hate this time of year lost my job last year around this time too and just when I thought things were geting better for me gosh dang it WTF. I already put in around 20 apps for a job and I called them all and no one can give me a dang job what is a guy to do.:mad::cry::cry::barf:

I don't know WTF I am going to do now I will not have enough money to pay my bills just
because some idiots did not do there dang job dam it. I would have a job and the money had they done there jobs it's not right how they did me like that even though I did my job.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

If you were closer to Austin,San Antonio or Taylor I could most likely get you a construction job. My dad is a superintendent for a construction company...

Well thanks anyway. I swear I would got to one of the day labor places but last time
I went and worked they only gave me $7 for 3 hours they said we get half I said **** that
that is not even enough for gas to drive out where I went to work. I don't know WTF I am going to do cash is going to be real short this month and I will not even have any left for a meal that b!tc*.:cry::cry:

Let me call my dad and see if Pepper Lawson is hiring anywhere around you...I'll shoot you a PM later after I talk to him.

Looking past the giant run on, i know how you feel with the no job part atleast. Seems as if now the only way im going to find anything is an hour plus commute...

I love this economy.

Just remember sometimes it takes a while to hear back from places you apply. I applied some where and the lady I turned the application into told me it would take about 2 business days to hear anything. I never heard anything after 2 days so I assumed they just tossed my application out... well about 3 weeks later I got a call from that place and they set me up for an interview... unfortunately I didn't get the job, but you get what I'm telling you ;)

So very true...Just keep your hopes up and thinges will work out..:hellyeah::D:cool:

Last year around this time I lost my job and I did not find one until january so you can see how I can't relax at all about it just hope things are not like the year before.

Are you calling back on the jobs? I would call back on them let them no your eager for employment. If you get in a vary hard spot even if you don't like the work i would try for it ( fast food, ext) and at least then you can work your way back up till you find something you enjoy. Also have you tried an employment office? such as a workforce or check out manpower.com they have branches all around the world. I hope helped as i was in teh same position a few months ago. Be persistent .

WTF Ok so I have this job I do for this guy right I fix what ever around his house pull weeds or paint and such. He knows I have no job right and I could use the money and I do a good job all the time for him and he knows this so this other guy that he really don't know that good that my inlaws know for a really long time one day he worked with me one day because he was short on cash and it was only one day so I was like alright he needs money so it's all good. Well since then that ###### been takeing all my jobs and he went and told the guy to let his nephew help him instead of me that they work together better and that I don't want to work for him that I said that so he goes and gives them a job that I was told he had for me. Now they go and take my job when I need the money just wait until he finds out how bad these two ###### are when things end up gone from his house. I'll tell you what next time that guy needs my help I am not going to help him I will be like you recall that time I was out of work and you gave them other two idiots my job when they had a job? oh you do? yea go call them. what? oh they stole from you well that's too bad later.

Ok so up to date I have put in around 12 applications maybe more and I have called and they told me sorry we are not hireing or they keep telling me call back next week call us back we are reviewing your applicaton. What is a guy to do to get a job? It's not like I am not trying you know I am frustrated and I can't move out of town because I have a house that I have yet to pay off I just don't know any more. Any one have some ideas for a guy down on his luck?

I don't think they will give me my job back because I am trying to get unemployment and I think they are mad about it.

I sincerely hope that you're not looking into a job that requires any type of education. Where the hell did you learn how to write?

One thing I found out about Texas...there are NO decent jobs! I worked for a year and a half at a "barely-above-minimum-wage" job and the only way I found to get out of it and into something better? Move 1,500 miles away.

Good luck to ya.

You already found something in PA?

I nearly applied for an excellent job working for Travis County. ;) Shame the wife wasn't digging a move as I'd kill to live around normal people again.

There are jobs everywhere, but skillset, interview skills, and resume writing need to be up to snuff.

EDM95, please don't take offense to this but I'm going to offer some constructive criticism that may help you.

You come off in several of your posts as 'whiny' and 'hopeless'. I think this may be hindering your job hunt. You need to take control of your emotions and adapt a more positive attitude. I do feel sorry for you losing your job, I really do. Things are tough right now - a negative attitude only compounds your problems. Bitching about it constantly isn't going to help you any. You need to buckle down and have a positive outlook on your situation.

Up above, someone mentioned your writing skills. I do not know how you talk or write outside of the internet. but how you present yourself in written form has a very strong impact on whether or not a potential employer will show interest in you. You need to write well enough to draw respect from those who read what you write.

Forget your previous employer and how they 'wronged' you. Avoid the subject entirely, especially if you are speaking at an interview. Employers will not hire someone that bad mouths a previous employer, period.

Focus on the here and now, not how you were wronged in the past.
