Just to give anyone a heads up that's doing a engine rebuild I found a company on ebay that for 88 shipped has both rod and main ACL race bearings while other people want 70 not including shipping for just the mains WTF If your interested hit me up ill give you the info.

I brought some of the parts that I had laying around out to the local meet at Ridley Creek park today so people would think the car was just pictures online LOL. Hopefully next time they see them they're all on a running car LOL

I was told by a well known dsm shop that CLAIMED they would price match any shop OR buy now prices on ebay and that they would NOT be undersold but when I called and told them about this deal they said there is no way and your not getting what you think your getting so here is for anyone looking for a good deal and for the company that WILL NOT be undersold....you were.

Is the intake design to go out of the engine bay?

Yes, it would put it in the location of the stock side-mount intercooler core in the wheel well area.

Good for lowering your intake temps, bad for sucking up water when you hit a puddle.

This thing doesn't have wiper blades so if it rains hydrolocking will be the least of my worries ROFL

Tim is right it puts it in the fender well right behind the opening on the left(facing the car) of the fmic opening. The K&N is huge and the pipe is true 4" so it should make for a very good performing intake setup.

I've been through water with a CAI

Just don't submerge it :)

I"m not to worried about it either way because it will be a nice weather/track car so it will never be driven in rain or snow.

I def can't wait I have less than a month till the play money is back and I go for a drug test tomorrow because I'm 99.9% getting a job working for SEPTA(you tri-state guys know what that is but for thos who don't it's South Eastern Pennselvania Transportation Authority) which is a unionized job that would be a long term carear for me so fingers crossed. Anyway rods and a Twin disk are on the immidiate list so I can get the rotating assembly balanced and then the block machined and assembled.

By not going to ohio I'm saving gas money which will hopefully leave me with just enough money to pick up some l19's this weekend from someone getting rid of a set for a 6 bolt for cheap. That would put the icing on the cake for this long block.

NOthing huge but hadn't given any updates lately so I thought I would just throw up some recent pics. Got the fidanza cam gears all my sensors and timing component kit with belt so making baby stepps towards the goal everyday. :thumb:

Shit man you aint lying.

Hopefully this shows guys trying to tackle a big project how much little shit there is and why everyone says this shit aint cheap. I know I am not the first by a long shot to doa build thread trying to go 10/9/8's w/e but one thing I do that I don't see a lot is show you guys EVERYTHING. Some people have actually said I show you guys too much that I won't have any secrets well I don't need secrets and secrets don't help anyone. I figure if I can show anyone even just one person something that they take and use to help them go faster or try something new then the whole thread was worth being overly open.

That and it avoids questions like which cams you running what tubro is that ect. :thumb:

Forgot to check the mail and bored late at night I saw a tracking number that said delivered and low and behold in the mail both were my flanges and clamps to convert to 38mm wastegates :) I had to use this 90* -4an elbow I had because the line was getting in the way. Def a tight fit but a lot better for a car that will almost never run less that 25-30psi

Put the cutting wheel to work just taking car of the oil pump pick up and wtaer pipe outlet since I"m not running heat or AC in this bad boy. I just need to get the whole welded up but I will get that done at the same time as the oil pan

I don't know if it's the same on the 7bolts but to use arp mains you need to cut the pick up suport because it doesn't mount like OE with arps.
