Bought this off a member in virgina, Thought I d share some pics/ideas. Hatch is still hanging up in the garage untill I have money to tint the glass and swap it in. For now I have a timing belt and new shocks and springs (alignment) to do...
The day I got it and unwrapped it:

I did a harcore Ms paint of the top half painted to match the car. I plan on going this route, then I will sit the wing on it and see what I think. Im liking it wingless though!

Member still has the hood, PM me if you want his user info.

Edit: by the way car is really dirty, and the rims look really dull because of that

I hear a lot of people having problems with the cf hatches cracking around the holes drilled for the wing. Although I'm a fan of the 2gb turbo wing. :D

ive heard the same thing. i plan on getting the CF hatch as well, but i think im going to lose the wing... unless i can get a cf gsx wing for a good price, because those are :thumb:

did it line up good or did u have to adjust it?

hey i really like that cf hatch...im a big fan of the turbo spoiler but it looks very nice without nice buy:hellyeah:...how much do those cf hatches go for?

You americans will have an easier time, I had to pay over 150 in shipping and then exchange and all I must have paid almost 700. It was a good deal to me, definatley could have spent a grand from a vendor. I did not know about the holes causing cracking, definately makes me thnk against it more, though I will miss the spoiler. I think the bolt sizes are differant for everything on the new hatch so I didnt even bolt anything on, its actually just sitting there, I wanted to see it on the car as it had been hanging up in the garage like a month.
Whats everyone think about my last pic with the top painted? IMO blends in better, looks cleaner. I m pretty much set on doing that.

From what I've read and seen to drill the holes, you need to start with a really small bit and gradually move up bit by bit to get the correct size. I know it has been done, but it seems like its time consuming and very risky. I'm not trying to discourage you. I'm just saying I'd hate to see someone go into a project blindly and being a costly mistake. LoL If you are like me, I can't afford replacing parts like that.

HAha Ohh Im very much not loaded. I am only 18. Screwing up the hatch isnt an option. Also as I said I dont even have money to transfer/tint the windows or lower it because of the cost of an alignment, untill I pay for all the timing components I am replacing.

I love the carbon hatches/trunks. It looks great either way. But, if you do put the spoiler on, make sure to use larger washers so it spreads the weight out of the spoiler.

put the wing on if you like the racing look. plus it will help stabilize the car at higher speeds. without the wing it looks a lot sleeker. i wouldnt paint it though. match it up with a carbon fiber hood and your good to go.

Nice bro. I also have heard of cf trunks cracking when being drilled for holes to install the wing, matter of fact had a friend tell me this happened to a guy about 2 days ago. So much for $500.
I'd say paint it as you did on the pic you photoshopped and leave it wingless.
