We made it to Norwalk at about 11:30pm after leaving 2-2:30ish from the meet. Not one problem at all with the Laser allthough some interesting things happened during the trip. Some highlights from the drive:

-A rolling meet up with Wes (knochgoon24) on I-76 (literally) The conversation went a little something like this: Us- "Were at mile marker #59" Wes- "I'm rolling past 61" Us-"See you in a minute" LOL!

-Ending up on the wrong side of an electronically controlled Trazel Plaza gate trying to get some E85. The reason being that we were traveling East and only the Westbound station had the corn juice. We made some manuevers and ended up on this Plaza access road. Had to talk the guy behind the counter into letting us through the gate after explaining to him that we desperatly needed the juice. He was trying to tell us that we could put gasoline in our "flex fuel" vehicle. I had to set him straight explaining that we literally couldn't get to the pumps even if we could use gasoline and we didn't have a flex fuel vehicle. When I told him the car was a 92 Plymouth Laser his facial expression was priceless. "How did you guys do that?"

-Going through those tunnels in the Mountains and the burgh. Something about those things is too sweet! The sign reading "Remove your Sunglasses" was pretty funny

-The early model turbo supra we encountered. When all was said and done I held up my plate that reads "DSM PWR" ;)

-Sticking fruit candies to the front window and seeing how long they would stay without blowing off out of sheer boredom. One made it all the way home! Something like 7 hours.

-The E85 pump at Sheetz. This thing was pimped out to look like an ear of corn. At the time we were really tired and it had us cracking up with some goofy "thumbs up" pictures taken

-And another bonus was that we didn't have to pay to get off the PA pike into Ohio...I have no idea how this happened but it did. On the way in it seemed like we payed 4-5 tolls. On the way home, once. It was nuts! Bonus!

Had a great time at the meet. Was a hell of a haul but we got er done. Was nice to see some different cars and meet different people, ones I had been wanting to see/meet in person. Ebanks's crew had me cracking up the whole day. Had some good conversation with the Sax, gave Snowborder some grief at the grill. Checked out Slippi's setup. Met Jim in the ranger. Helped James carry some suprisingly heavy chicken... he said 12 pounds...I heard someone say 28 and I think that was more like it, the half I carried had to weigh 12 lbs! Nice James! Met a gentleman who was originally from the area where I live. "Big Brake 1g guy" sorry I missed your name. And after years got to put a face with the name blcknspo0ln. Crimsondragon seemed to be in a good mood. Suprise everybody! I'm pretty sure I saw him smile even! Nice meeting everybody and hanging out, it felt like family... family I actually wanted to be around. :)

Also, I had 3 of those hotdogs and I feel fine besides a killer headache. Must have an iron stomach. When I told Cyclone what all I ate on Saturday it was making him sick!

Awesome story. I feel the same way about the family deal.

James :dsm::talon::laser:

The chicken was uncooked. I bit into a thigh and was wondering why the center was so cold. I feel fine though. Slippi and his god damn 70 lb HX52. Loved it bro.

Who was is that offered me a t-3 housing for the Holset hx-40pro? I was talking to so many people i forgot who mentioned it

Looks like a good time, wish I hadn't missed it but I wouldn't have ended up getting there until at least 2. On a positive not I finally made the much needed change of my tc and rear dif fluids

Also, prior to the pics, I thought I was the only black evo with a lancer wing, guess not :aha:

Had a great time at the meet! Had some good conversations with a bunch of people and enjoyed meeting new people and putting faces to names. Already looking forward to next years meet!

Yeah I got a work out just putting it back in the jeep LOL. I'm gonna need to brace the engine stand just to put it on the head when I"m putting everything together ROFL

Haha yea seriously. you're gonna need a 5th motor mount just to hold up that turbo.

My prayers go out to you, your family, and everyone else involved. It's a shame you couldn't make it out but things happen. Glad you were able to be with the family.

I was wearing one of the boost boyz shirts so at least people could point me out if needed and remember who i was after wards if needed LOL. The shirts are unique and always get commented on.

Thanks for the kind words for our family. Thanks also for representing us in our unexpected absence. My cousin was well liked by a large amount of people. Very packed church/funeral. We'll have way more shirts and things at the Showdown. Everyone please stop by and chat! Look forward to meeting new people and seeing some we already know!

You got me picking my nose! haha. It is an awkward picture but luckily I don't get embarrassed easily!

I had a good time and it was good seeing everyone too. I was sad I couldn't bring my car out this year. My car is the rare DSM that always runs too. Go figure. LOL

LOL great stories on the ride home, Jim. I loved the part about Tim actually smiling (second Defiant?) hahahhaha

Again, loved the spirit and loved the crowd this year, but I'm disappointed I didn't get a chance to mingle with a lot of the DSMers that came and went. There were a handful of guys that showed up and didn't introduce themselves to the lot of us! Pictures of Sheetz or ban!!

DSM PUPPAY![/IMG]

Whoops, did I upload that by accident? haha. :ohdamn:ROFL

You and your damn 5$ turbo haha. Did you decide what you are going to do with it yet?

Nope...it'll probably sit in my garage until I finish up the suspension on the Eclipse, get my Talon running, and sell my Cobalt. It'll definitely get rebuilt and used tho. :sneaky:

So that was you. I was wondering if that was you because Ive always been told your the only cute dam girl, but I figured you weren't coming.

That's a stock '03 EVO wing on mine :p

Thanks for letting me follow you back Mario Andretti.

Hey guys, I also had a great time. Good to see some new setups, I hate going to meets and seeing the same cars every time but it looked like alot of people changed their setups from last year. Always a good to meet everyone in person and put faces to names.
Hey guys, quick question. Which month next year do you think would be better? June or July. I want to do nexts years a little earlier. Just so we can get it away from the Shootout and Showdown. So, let me know. I'll start a thread in the winter for next years meet!

James :dsm::talon::laser:

It would help me out alot if you could keep it away from the 4th of July, I always have alot going on around that time. I ussually go home to see my fam that live nearly 5 hrs away so I take advantage of the holiday to save vac days. And the weekend after the 4th is always Chryslers at Carlisle and we take my brothers 69 Charger out to.

Yeah, I made it but my car did not. I did have plans to bring it. Hopefully it'll be at E-town if I have the time this week to look it over.

There was actually a few good looking girl dsmer's there.

Yes, I think Steph is definitely good looking as well. She had her white GSX there.

If Steph is the girl i'm thinking of she was so cool and a very good looking girl. It's nice to meet so many knowledgeable people who are cool to bs with especially if their girls.

I really hope the car is at E-town running on sunday. I'd still would have loved to bought it when we were discussing it. Hope to see it out and look it over.
