On that Thursday, I'll be going to New Jersey this year instead of Ohio. :hellyeah:

Speaking as someone who has organized a caravan to Norwalk in the past, though, why not leave on Friday? Gives you plenty of time to get there for the events on Saturday (assuming you leave early from Milwaukee, and meet up relatively early with the Chicago folks), and can increase your turnout quite a bit since people have to take one less day off of work to make the trip. (There's always going to be folks who leave on Saturday because of work, though.) I also recommend two-way FRS radios, they make the drive "entertaining". ;)

And that's what I've done in the past. This year though, we want to get settled in by Thursday night so we can spend all of Friday at Cedar Point! ;)

Do hotels in the area fill up for this, I haven't been before? I'd like to go but won't know until shortly before. I also probably wouldn't leave until Friday. I have a lot of things going on with work and military and my schedule keep changing.

I'm not going to be in Norwalk this year, but from past experience, the hotels fill early, and Econolodge's website claims only one room left right now (they're usually the cheapest option). However, it looks like the Best Western and All-American Inn have plenty of rooms free; normally, by this time, you'd be looking at rooms up in Sandusky.

I slept at the track last year. Showed up after the dyno runs at Buschurs and the track said we could spend the night no charge, they would just wake us at like 7 for entrance fees for the day. And let me tell you firsthand, these cars are not fun to sleep in, almost ended up on the cement. I'm all for setting up a cruise out of Chicago, but I have to leave early Saturday morning or really late Friday night, I got class till 8.

Ugh! From watchin all the youtube vids on the shoot, it would be sick to go to the shoot out, i wont make it this yr nxt is a better shot on making it,

Well I found out today that I will have to drill that weekend so I won't be going.

There's no official Chicago caravan that I know of yet, haven't checked EvoM just discussed this on ChitownDSM. My group is leaving early Saturday morning, I guess we could leave friday night but we only booked our room at the BW for one night

I have 2 extra rooms for thursday to monday but you can leave sooner then that for 100 a night. If anybody wants them let me know but you have to check in on thursday.
