anyone know if a srt-4 turbo manifold willl work on the 420a head? there alot easier to find than other options to the "log" style we're stuck with.

honestly im not sure but u could try it and let us know

So then don't answer. ;)

The SRT-4 "turbofold" won't fit because of the positioning of the turbocharger. Also, there are more manifolds available than just the log style these days.

even if the factory manifold fit, it wouldn't be a good idea because it limits your choice of turbos. there should be plenty of custom manifolds available to suit your needs.

I found the above in an srt-4 site. should fit, but i'm not sure if it's any good. sure looks cool though.

if interested in the above mani search steed speed and see where that takes you.

i am not sure on that but

the 420A motor that is used in the Eclipse and n/a neons are 2.0L
while the SRT4 motor is a 2.4L so i dont think they would work, i believe the head is different

Billet steel? It does look nice, but what would be the advantage over a conventional log style manifold? It looks too similar to the Star, Treadstone and Star/Treadstone clones out there...

you could say that log manifolds have uneven runners and therefore don't fow as well as manifolds that do have even runners. but that is just a tendency.

i don't have any flow numbers for any of the manifolds mentioned. or dyno runs.

I think it's important info for anyone in the market for one.

just wanted to share an option.

Agreed, just do a search on google for 420a Turbo manifolds
come up with results like this
Slowboy Racing, Inc. :: Mitsubishi :: DSM :: Exhaust :: Manifolds / Headers :: Turbonetics :: Turbonetics DSM 420A Non-Turbo T3 Manifold

i am not sure on that but

the 2.4 bottom end is just an inch taller and has a longer stroke giving it the .4L extra liters.

the one pictured above wouldnt work...it doesnt have the two holes in the top center like our head does...but i have seen some that look exactly the same...and they are alot easier to find

i found this post doing a search about the same thing, wondering about the srt4 aftermarket turbo manifolds, found some nice looking ones to, did anyone every try it?
