I don't think I've ever had an aftermarket clutch not "last". I've put 35k on a 2600 + OEM disc, then replaced it because it "wasn't the right thing to do"

I hit the power limits of the clutch before it's time to replace it due to wear. That's why I'm going twin on my next upgrade.

Also, Amber (from FP) has put 150k miles on a stock clutch in a 2g AWD. Kinda debunks the whole argument.

I've read some stuff similar to this, but Jack at Jack's transmissions said that most people with a 2600 have to change it every year or about every 10,000 miles, so I was curious to what people have been getting out of their aftermarket clutch.

I've got somewhere between 20 and 30k on my 2600/street disc wih no signs of it going anytime soon.

my act 2100 going strong about 11, 000 miles still in great shape, i just instpected it after 10,000 miles.

I got a ACT 2600/street disk in my GSX and its been through over 25k..still solid.

I think this poll is pretty vague since everyone has different driving styles and other factors like modifications done to the car/how much power one is making with that clutch setup.;)

I agree, but you can still get a nice roundabout guestiment by what others describe, (track use, driving habits, road course usage ect.) ;)

I can't vote, 8k on my 2100 and no problems.
I have never ever messed up a clutch in my life before.

Just my 3 cents, I'm still on my completely original OEM clutch with 140K+ miles on it.

I've seen a lot of people hit over 100k on the stock clutch, but it seems like people with aftermarket clutches are ruining them faster, is this just because people drive them harder, or because they're harder to drive correctly :hmm:

my 2100 lasted less than 10k my 2600 seems like it's going to good for a while.

I put 65,000 miles on my ACT 2100. I only replaced it because I had the trans out for a rebuild. It still looked good. Now I have about 8-10k miles on my SBR 3500.

bought a used act 2600 and new street disk. The original street disk that came with the clutch had the same amount of material so probably a waste of money.

Running it with AWD and lightly modded engine - no problems

After I Did the AWD conversion I added a 2.3 engine, now at 21 lbs boost and 5000 rpm full throttle in 3rd- 5th it will start to slip. Still works ok as long as not at full boost and in the middle of my power band.
My guess is that the ACT would be 100% if it was resurfaced.

I have a new SPEC stage 3+ waiting to go in.

I have put 25k on a act 2600/street disk. I pulled the tranny to do an awd swap and it looked in great shape. I put a new awd act flywheel on and still used the same 2600 and disk. I have not launched the car but it is driven somewhat spirited.

I got about 35,000 out of a 2100 with a street disc in a FWD. Over that 4 year period i went from 200hp to 550hp.

When I rebuilt my engine I put in a 2100. It's still going strong after 18,000 miles and about 20 trips down the track. And numerous launches on the street. Holds power great but sometimes it will slip in 2nd or 3rd during a roll. I guess anything over 320tq and this thing just won't hold. Not that the clutch is bad or anything but I'll hopefully be upgrading to a better clutch later this year.

At the track in this video where I shifted to 2nd. Shifted it and dumped the clutch and it just slipped. :idontknow:

I've got over 20k on my 2600 with street disk. but lately its been making this noise that makes me wonder if the spring's loose...

600 miles on a xtd stage 4 unspung. The only reason it was only that long was because my engine and trans came apart from a bolt sheering. I loved it!

I have a ACT 2600 w/street disk, which was lightly used in a fwd before it ended up in my awd. Still going strong after about 3 years of drag racing/daily driving with a few hundred launches (and a broken axle and transmission along the way). Probably about 15,000 miles on it. As much as I don't like it and want to go with a twin disk, it shows no signs of slipping yet. It will be interesting to see what the clutch disk looks like the next time it comes out, though.
