i found another problem guys... =(
this time its my taillights.... and i believe its my tranny...

1. the taillight on the drivers side stays on... and it doesnt turn off...
2. my brake lights arent working for either side...
3. while the car is idlin i hear this rattling noise... it sounds like a baby rattle and it goes away when i step on the clutch
and comes back when the car is idling agian....

so any ideas of wats wrong?

Sounds like there is a short, or maybe a blown relay. >.> Power is going straight through the taillight instead of waiting patiently for the a request.

I'm not a guru on these cars, but I would advise checking fuses, relays, switches and bulbs before you try for the wires. Fuses are in the systems to keep the wires from burning up, not to save equipment. ^.^

And it sounds like maybe a throwout bearing.

how are your running lights, the fuse for the running lights and taillights are the same so that might help narrow things down.

I Encountered a similar problem where all my parking lights would stay on and not turn off unless I pulled the fuse. Ended up bieng the wiring harness in my drivers side fender well had rubbed through and the red wire was grounding out. Easy fix, was just hard to find.

Also dont forget to check the brake pedal as well there is a lil switch a that pushes in and out (pushbutton) because if its broken it too will keep the lights on :|

^^Had same problem, taillights on all the time, even with car not running. Turned out it was the brake pedal switch, the part that keeps it pressed(plastic button broke). I replaced it with a plastic body panel screw which i just shoved inplace and snapped in, been there for years now.

alright... thanx for the advice guys...
i'll be sure check this weekend...

i hope to figure this out... ### im gettin really tired of takin out my battery after i turn off the car...LOL
