i already changed trans fluid with ams trans oil...its an auto gst btw.. changed oil n filter flushed out all fluids with new...just need to get a timing belt should i just go with a new stock timing belt?

On a pristine car like that with such low miles, I would say thoroughly research everything and don't cheap out on the parts. Look towards good quality and proper installation. Take your time, do it once, do it right. It will serve you well for many years and provide alot of enjoyment.

The stock timing belt is just fine for you. It's a pain to do though, so take your time and read up before tackling the job. Make sure you use the search button. I guarantee you that every question you'll have when you first start out (i.e. pretty much every question you'll have for the next year) has been asked and answered many times before. Good luck.

do maintance and them dsmlink v3 gm maft wideband then you can start doing the mods everyone one want to do first like turbo and cam

BAN3D is completely right. Make sure everything on your car is mechanically sound and solid then start your mods.

Do a little research and find out exactly how much power your looking for and what kind of driving you will be seeing, then put together your build around that. vfaq.com is a great place for information.

Beautiful car though++++!!

this is from the link above from a previous post
just a little easier for you to see follow this and you can't go wrong to start
this is after you do the maintanice

Increasing Horsepower in a 2G turbo

So you want more power out of your 2G turbo DSM? Make sure you learn a few things before making some common "noob" mistakes. DSM's have a reputation of going fast for cheap. But they're regularly neglected and have gained an unfair reputation of being unreliable. Most "noobs" want to spend all their money on go-fast parts and put no money or effort into maintenance. Don't be one of those people. Do your maintenance and don't start modding until all the necessary maintenance is done. Otherwise you're just asking for trouble.
The first thing you need to do is a complete tune up. Replace all worn belts, including the timing belt and balance shaft belt. If the timing belt/balance shaft belt haven't been replaced within the last 60k miles, or you're not sure when they were last changed - change them now. If they break, you'll be paying for a cylinder head rebuild (not cheap). You'll also want to change out all filters, fluids, worn hoses, spark plugs/wires, and worn/leaking gaskets. Check the compression, do a leak-down test, check your ignition timing, etc. Basically, do all of the checks that your repair manual tells you to do - you do have a repair manual already, don't you? If not, pick one up now before moving forward with any modifications.

Once you've gotten all of the necessary maintenance out of the way, you can start with the modifications. We've broken it down into two common stages to help you achieve your goals gradually. These formulas have been used by the top DSM tuning shops/racers in the industry. Before you start shopping for big turbos, intakes and headers, read our article on the common mistakes and misconceptions by newbie DSMers, and read the staged upgrade paths to the right.

A few things to keep in mind when you start modding:

Set a goal/budget before buying any parts. No plan = more money later.

Be realistic with those goals and plans. What will your car be used for?

There is no "best" part when it comes to modding.

Find out the emissions requirements in your area before choosing parts.

Do your research before you buy parts - make sure the parts you buy will work together well.

Usable power under the curve is important, not just big overall horsepower numbers.

Work within your budget.

Best upgrade for a 2g DSM hands down is boost controller set to 15 or 16 psi, boost gauge, and blow off valve as the stock will leak. The blow off valve must be recirculated like the stock one. By using a first generation BOV and a "no name" manual boost controller this can be had very cheap too.

And the timing belt only needs replaced every 60,000 miles, so you are fin

Turbo swap.

The t25 on their does you no justice. You can pick up a used 14b for $100 and then sell your t25 for $100 to some honda guy. Get a MBC and then you should be all set.

After you do the swap and turn up the boost all the parts you put on (downpipe, exhaust, cams) will benefit more than if you just kept the t25. :thumb:

look the car over and make sure everything is ok, after that go to buchur, mach, slowboy any web site and follow there upgrade path. A TBE is your best gain. Turbo back exhaust if you didn't know what TBE was. It will help your turbo breath and spool fast. Also the stock bov on 2g's are know for leaking you can get a 1g for cheap but you'll need a hard pipe with a flange. After that you could do a boost controller but the t-25 which is your stock turbo doesn't flow that much cfm so upgrade to a 14b or 16g.

Personally I would first do all the maintenance to make sure your car is running strong, then before you do anything else I would at least throw in a evo 8 or 9 fuel pump, the factory pump won't get you that far power wise. You can pick up one of those pumps for 30 bucks on an evo forum and its a direct bolt on.

14b should definently be your first up grade along with a 1g bov and uicp and rewire the fuel pump. Run like 18psi and it will be pretty quick. You don't want to start off with a really fast car so the you should gradually mod it. If you just throw alotta parts on right away more than likely your going to break alot things due to your driving.
