...yea i was asking myself, y is the glass still intact...?! seems like that would of been done....why would someone go as far to cut wires and hoses, but not touch any of the glass...?

Breaking glass makes A LOT of noise. Cutting hoses, slashing leather seats and scratching paint isn't nearly as loud.

Plus, I'm sorry, but what Jewish person has the NERVE to scratch a swastika into the paint to make it look like a hate crime. That's beyond ignorant.

I'm going to have to agree here.

This all happened in one night? Cut every wire? cut every hose? destroyed the turbo? Did the just bang on it while still on the car or took the time to remove it? Every peice of interior slashed, every panel on the car keyed or spray painted? Removed the ECU and beat on it? Oil feed line cut? Did they think to bring a good pair of bolt cutters? Removed all the intercooler piping? And theres more?!?

Either A) this was done by about 20 people or B) Me thinks this was a fraud, gone horribly bad (most people don't realize the insurance won't cover you aftermarket parts). Either way this sucks for the car.

And Kris, thanks for taking out the trash, bro!

havent you ever played street fighter, takes 30 seconds to demolish a car

Insurance Fraud

so his insurance company can call it a total loss, then he can get what the car is worth, then buy the back the car from the insurance company and still have money in his pocket:cool:,it's a major strategy IMO

I doubt he would get back as much as he invested in the car. Who would spend countless hours on a car only to ruin it?

No way it was a random act of vandalism. Too much done to the car. Too thorough.
Doubt it was someone he pissed off (that personally did the act).:
1. Breaking windows is a really good way to release anger.
2. Tires don't make noise when they're slashed.
3. Headlights also break nicely.
None of which were done...

Self inflicted carries too many risks. He'd have to be really stupid or desperate.

I think the car was scoped out. Someone then tipped people off, and they raided the car. Could have been a "hit" placed on the car.

So my vote is "Other". Hired hit.

Yup he pissed somebody off... Crazy though , u should never take it out on a persons car..

Damn look at this. 60% think it's cause he pissed someone off. Wow I was the first to say that in the original thread and got my post deleted.

I thought inside job, because of the amount of damage. Perhaps this is an insurance fraud gone awry?

Either way, I think all the damage done would take too long and require special tools while making WAY too much noise.

I would hold you too that.

In fact, I got about $13,000 in my account. If you could do EVERYTHING that was described by yourself in 15 minutes without special tools, then I will give you the full $13k. I bet you couldn't even get the turbo off your car in 15 minutes.

Im pretty sure I could get mine off in 15. Have to hustle hard though.

But anyways, yeah that sucks. I dont know what to make of it as far as what actually happened to it, nor do I care. It just sucks that a decent car was destroyed. Even though, yes it was ricey.

My only question is whoever did this spent alot of time doing it. If u read his original post it states that they cut every wire and hose under the hood. This was not a 30 second "I'm pissed off at u" vandalizing. Somethings missing from this story.

I don't think so... You would need a car jack and jack stands (special tool) to get under the car enought to get the downpipe off the 02 housing, it takes alot of torque to get the turbo bolts broken loose, maybe with a impact gun (special tool) and a compressor (special tool and loud as crap). But you're already looking at 15 minutes doing that.

I voted that someone who knows him did this as some sort of ####y ass revenge for something, but the more I think about it, I'm kinda leaning toward self inflicted.

Here's why. There's lots of horrible damage, but no big dents or broken windows. I can't believe someone would do that to their own car BUT, what if the engine was already broken?:hmm:

Maybe the engine self destructed, and the owner didn't want to foot the bill for repairs?
Slash the seats= use insurance money for racing buckets, scratch headlamps= new ricey aftermarket lights, scratches on every panel = new paint job, Sugar, "corrosive liquid", and all the wires and hoses cut = new engine + nobody can say if it ran beforehand or not.

Can I change my vote? I'm as pissed now as when I thought it was the work of skinheads. More possibly.

Not to argue or get off topic. But I have had my turbo off so many times, its nothing to get the bolts out. It would be different if it had never been disassembled before. That would definately take a while.

I personally don't think this was done by the owner. I mean, "Hey let me finish building my head then pour corrosive liquids on top of it?!" Yeah! That'll get me money so I can finally get the paintjob I've always wanted"

Yeah..No.

####ed up.
