I just got my car about 2 months ago, its a 2G Eclipse GST, its got a 14b turbo, headers, hks Blowoff valve, frontmount innercooler, r&d thermal exhaust, running about 14-15lbs of boost right now... my question is does anyone have any suggestions? i know it needs a good tune and I would like to get bigger injectors along with possibly a evoIII Big 16 g turbo somewhere down the road, but what should i get? i have a manual boost controller but i would also want a electronic boost controller, the car has 123,000, miles on it and runs awesome right now, but i would like to get a tune and possibly a few other things, just open to some open suggestions, also wondering if there was anyone around illinois? I'm in peoria, illinois, down for some meets and crusing.... thanks all.

To tune your car, you will need some type of engine management system, whether it be a safc or dsmlink for example. The safc does have its limitations but im just using it a cheap example. At 14-15psi on a 14b with stock injectors, your stock ecu is plenty capable of controlling it effectively. Obviously there is room for improvement with the very rich stock a/f ratios.
All of them are a few hours north of you, but there is AMS, DevoTuning, and Strictly Modified in Illinois

yeah i am thinking about getting DSM LINK or SAFC.. anyone have different positives and negatives about each and or which one would be better? thanks for your help, and i figured there would probably be more tuning shops up around the chi area, so when it gets warmer im hoping to get stuff together and cruise up soon.

There is tons of info on this site on both products as well as other tuning devices. Also do a google search. They are on opposite ends of each other as far as capabilities. Decide on your goals with the car when making a decision on parts to purchase and the order to purchase them. There are great upgrade paths on here as well as roadraceengineering, machv,etc
