what do you mean exhaust upgrade, i already got a 2.5 aftermarket exhaust, and a highflow cat, and headers, what esle is there to do?

DO 15 PSI to be on the safe side. Just make sure you have all of these things before pushing your motor to 15 psi(EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THEM):

Upgraded fuel pump(255lph will need a aftermarket fuel pressure reg)

upgraded air filter

2.5 " aluminum hard piping

upgrade the stock BOV

make sure you are UP TO DATE with all your tune-ups!

aftermarket gauge

OPTIONAL:
egt gauge

I know there might be some stuff that I might of missed but I think you get the point. SEARCH SEARCH ALL YOU CAN before asking questions.

2g's t25 are usually good for 15-16psi anything after that is just generating heat. But as stated above, Boost gauge 1st, then controller. Check vfac for the mods and you can cheat a few hp with little things for free or next to nothing.

please use the SEARCH feature next time before posting a question that has been answer numerous times....

and 14 psi is the max i would go on the stock fuel system...

I have searched the site for my question however, i find that my questions are best answered when i ask them for my specific situation. I apologize if this seems like a redundant question, but this way works best for me.

from what im seeing im kinda curious how your going to put a 4g63t motor in a GS OR RS car concidering that the whole configuration is backwards in those cars:confused:

sure, actually the configuration is not as complicated as other people on this website make it seem. For the problem of everything being backwords, you can just swap out the entire cradle, and use some custom motor mounts, and wah la, 4g63t talon ESI

I wouldn't push it past 16-17. When I had mine it was at 22psi (no boost controller) let's just say it didn't last very long :D

search button is an amazing tool. but like is said 16 is the max on a t25. and you don't need to adjust your fuel to support that boost level on t25 if you ever be ever upgrade to a 14b then you will need to be more concerned about fuel.

I have a 97 gsx automatic and im wondering how much boost can it handle? also is it ok to drive the car with the low boost setting on no matter what the weather is? with the low setting on my boost controller the boost gauge hits between 1.2-1.4 in bar...i live in chicago and the temps now are between 40-60f

these are my mods:

Forced Performance Green 7cm with external dump
Dejon intake/K&n performance intake filter
Tial waste gate
Ported manifold
Greddy oil catch can
Greddy type S BOV
Greddy IC pipes
Greddy IC
Greddy profec b boost controller
Greddy 60mm silver face boost & EGT
HKS turbo timer
Jumptronix air/fuel meter
Hahn 3" DP
walbro 255 fp
660 injectors
thermal 3" exhaust
PI - dragon torque converter 3500 stall
black spring shift kit
b&m tranny cooler
Apexi S-afc
Ngk bpr7es
ngk me77 wires

i have no wideband o2 but will be getting one soon
also i dont have a fuel pressure regulator
i will be getting a dsmlink also

Judging by your mods I'd think you could run 1.2-1.4bar safely all day everyday given a good tune.

kool yea thats what i figured i do need to get it tuned but the shop wont tune with the stupid s-afc i have they said get a dsmlink but thats gonna cost me $1000 for the dsm link,95 ecu eprom, and tune :( my damn idle is a bit jumpy when i stop and sometimes my check engine light will come on and i scan the code and it says misfire which i dont understand i have brand new plugs and wires in there that i gapped correctly and everything. the tuner says it has to be me needing a tune is why im getting that damn cel light to come on.

Is the SAFC currently tuned or is the car not running yet?

Didn't notice you didn't have an AFPR. That's step 1. frankenstein is absolutely right, shops have the right to prefer tuning with certain devices but there should be no reason at all they can't help you with the SAFC

well the tuner tried messin with the afc but its not helping much and the last tune was done couple yrs ago so i know i need another but that afc is not much help :( and a few people were telling me the 660 injectors are a bit big for the s-afc to control so they said it was best to get rid of the apexi and get a dsmlink.

That AFC with a datalogger would be just fine if you don't want to fork out the cash for link just yet.

#1 - Get an AFPR, install it, set it.
#2 - Get a datalogger.
#3 - Start tuning...pretty easy with the SAFC once you start.
#4 - Ignore #3 and maybe #2 if you find a speedshop that can tune it for you and you don't wanna do it.
#5 - Enjoy the car
#6 - Get ECMLink down the road for more fine tuning/functionality
#7 - Keep enjoying the car.

Yes link is preferred but your inj are not to big for the AFC. I am sure there is someone around there that can give you a half way decent tune with the AFC til you get the Link. Also I am not sure that I would trust a shop to tune my car with Link if they can't do a simple tune with the AFC. Your choice though...
