i take it you bought it? or someone else did because the auction has ended.

Any turbo can APPEAR to be well built. When it comes to something like a turbo I would stay away from eBay brands. Just search ebay and you can usually find a good deal on a PTE or Holset or Bullseye turbo to a good price. I would much rather buy a good used turbo over a new eBay turbo.

The only friendly warning I'll give..

It's a Hahn 20G knockoff. It'll have a 10cm2 T3-flanged turbine housing (requires an adaptor to fit a DSM manifold), a TD05H-spec turbine, and an elbow welded to the compressor cover that faces the wrong direction if you're running a short-route FMIC.

Any chinese turbo COULD be well-built if they take the time to balance it properly and use journal bearings that aren't so soft they destroy themselves even when they're getting plenty of oil. It's all a gamble...but don't think one Chinese turbo is any different from another just because it's sold by a particular vendor.

well i was thinking about the same turbo from ebay. i had a ebay t3/t4 on my honda for over a year and it worked great. ive noticed that everyone one that bashes ebay turbos its always a friend of friend that had one. when i buy one ill let you guys know how it works.

ps ive bought some stuff for godspeed before and it was good stuff, but never a turbo though :idontknow:

Hello all, Im here today to tell you about this great turbo. I recently perchased one off of godspeeds website (my freind has a vender account with them) anyway just installed the 20g and I can honestly say that the turbo IS worth the money. not only does it spool up way faster than my bullseye 50 trims and seems to pull more with the 20g.
dont let the rest of the people on here discourage you because that wont get you anywhere:banghead:

I'm sure it's great right now, but why don't you report back in 20,000 miles:cool:

Good thing you provided lots of valid information and not just a bunch of random ass-dyno numbers and non-quantitative rhetoric.

:nono:

Chinese turbos are crap, always. They may work for a small period of time, but they are all ticking time bombs. Go to Forced Performance Turbochargers for a quality product.

Oh that's nice SPAM right there. Uh their 20g is $999.00 with no install kit. I just had an $1100 turbo go out with less than a thousand miles. I never want to spend that much money on a turbo again!

Turbos go out usually because the user bought too cheap, I.E ebay new chinise turbo, or they didn't oil the turbo properly. Sirius motors (dsm motors) really are crazy with oil pressures at different points. VERY random and very unpredictable. There's nothing harder on a turbo than a dsm motor. . .

So yeah..

This thread will never end. Some people will take the risk and buy cheap. Some people like quality and pay for it. If you want to take the risk to save some bucks, go ahead. If you want to be sure your turbo will last, then go that route. Post your personal experience/opinion on the matter and do it without hating and attacking each other so much. ;)

Personally, I agree with an earlier post...I would rather buy a used turbo (and maybe rebuild it) rather than buying a knock-off turbo. I recently bought a used turbo from the classified section of this site...tore it down, cleaned it up, replaced bearings/seals and built it back up.

Cheap, fast, reliable; pick two.

Buying "backups" instead of properly setting up and tuning a car is asinine.

Up to the price of the genuine article, apparently.

you dont always have to spend big $ to get quailty products. you can wait for sales or buy used. why buy a turbo for $400 and possibly have it go bad and spend 200+ getting it rebuilt or spend 600+ on a proven turbo new or jew someone down on a turbo they are selling i got a hanh 16g right now just waiting for sumone to jew me down

Wow, you know this is a public forum and this might offend some... i.e. Me.:notgood:

pte is now made with chinese parts just so everyone knows. garrett caught them getting the chinese to replicate the parts that garrett was saleing them. so garrett cut them off and wouldnt sale them any parts. so the chinese are making most if not all of the parts for pte turbos.
but in my honest opinion i have had nothing but good luck with chinese turbos.
