I couldn't find any companies that made a true 3" housing with a 38mm external wastegate setup so i decided to build my own. I also dont like the way most companies have the exhaust from the wastegate dumping in at a 90 degree angle to the housing which makes for terrible flow. This is the design that i came up with and built.

That looks like the balls. Welds don't look too shabby.

No flex section, huh? Some opt, some don't.

You interested in selling?

thanks guys, the turbo outlet is port matched exactly the same size as the outlet of the BEP housing for an HX40, so it is about 2.75" and i tapered it out to 3" within the flange itself so it matches the 3" pipe. I didnt have the O2 bung welded in the housing for these pictures but i put that in today. I still need to test fit the housing in my car, hopefully i dont have any issues with that.

As far as selling them goes i probibly won't have the time to make any for some time since i'm currently finishing my B.S. degree in Automotive Management at Walla Walla University and i'm about to start on my senior project. For my senior project I'm going to be installing a ton more performance parts on my talon, then installing an AEM EMS and and doing all the tuning myself on the brand new AWD Mustang Dyno at Walla Walla University. Im really excited about finishing this project and hope to see some decent numbers :)

Looks good...:thumb: I just got one question. How are you going to get a bolt in the hole on the down pipe side closest to the turbo? Or are you going to tap a stud in there and use a nut?

I like how the wastegate points upwards and not straight at the radiator like all the others.

Looks awesome. Not "perfect" but I care more about function. o2 housings are hard to make. Props to you looks awesome.

Some of the bolts are a tight fit to get them in but they all fit. I was doing all the welds with a crappy little MIG welder cause i didnt want to wait till i could get access to the TIG. I finally have some pictures of it in the car and there were no fitment issues.
