Thank you! what do you think should i paint the hood black or leave it red how it is?

Leave it red. Painting it black would look ricer, IMHO. Don't make it into a Honda.
How about saving up for real cf hood instead of wasting it on paint

strat i think i might have seen you around the waterfront or maybe the southside area in the past summer. But anyways i would go black do what you want its your DSM. And having a black hood would separate you from the other dsm's and make it unique. See you in the burgh..;)

Oh man haha that's funny^.

And buy an OEM Loof CF Hood. Pretty much stock appearance, but CF. Looks way better than a ricer one with 54 hood scoops in it.

Here's what I did in 5 minutes on pixlr.com:

I went to the site, how do you enter your pic to the site ? Could you do a step by step on how you did the hood color ? Many thanx for the site hookup...Been looking for a long time for something that looks as easy as what you pulled off in 5 minutes...

Well, it's just like photoshop. Use the File menu on the website to open whatever you want. I used the lasso tool to select the hood, then adjusted it (under Adjustment or something) to turn the saturation down (removing the color). It preserves the reflections while still changing the color. It's hard to explain unless you're familiar with photoshop already.

Ok, i have an image on there..How do you select the hood with the lasso without drawing completely around it ?

Webconnect, that was hillarious but in real life it would look retarded. But If I do decide to get it painted black I'm not paying for it...some guy hit my front end the other day and his insurance cmpany gave me money so I'm using that to get the car painted by a body shop and was just gonna tell them to paint the hood black instead of red. But I'm still not sure how it's going to look. If I do it I'll def post pictures of how it looks. Thnks for everyones help.

No, it wasn't me. I just got the car about a month ago so I didn't have it in the summer.Do you go to the get togehers down at the stacks? If so you'll see my car there sooner or later. I always cruise with the kid that has the audi TT with a silver body and black top and the kid with the black s2000 and the silver WRX with the STI trunk. You'll see me. Anyway are you goingto the DSM shootout?

Dont do it. I have seen it done, and it looks like you just picked up a replacement hood from the junkyard.
