I was working at subway and just got tired of it and walked out when I was 16. Can't make 1 person do all the dirty work and get paid the same as a new hire.

ROFL what kind of weird chicken dance where you doing when that happened? I bet your a real ladies man ;)

Hasn't happened to me ROFL I just had the mental image when you said that hahaah.

Ladies man indeed :sneaky: my ex didn't mind, but she was :boring: so now I'm single again.

How did a thread about jobs turn into this? :p

Err, I kinda tricked her. Told her we needed a break and that I might get back with her later (I wouldn't). It didn't work that well, they're crafty :nono:. I did tell her what was up, but it took me about a month to pinpoint why I wasn't into her anymore.:ohdamn:

(she got annoying)

Alright at my last job wich was for Cummins. Sometimes I would end up overseeing the end of the line...Which includes chipping off weld spatter, fixing crappy welds, making sure it looked good enough for the customer basically..I absolutly hated my supervisor..Let me tell you why. Before he was a SUP he was awsome..After his premotion he was a total dick to just me. Everybody else he got along with great. But I knew that he was a POS, the truth..Any way I'm getting off topic...I am of course working my A** off doing 8 tons of shi* only I could get done at once right. In my pocket was my favorite chisel, everbody I had working at the end,had their own chisel. My SUP 2 days before borrowed my chisel and chipped the hell out of it... SO this time when my SUP asked for my chisel I said no...He repeadedly asked me for my chisel and I respectfully declined...He starts yelling at me, I start yelling back..So he takes off for a while, I'm busy working...10 min later he calles me over the intercom and tells me to come into the air conditioned office..I walked in, he had Ms..number 3 on night shift, and himself in there...He hands me a peice of paper to sign....

I got written up for not giving him my favorite chisel...He told me that since cummins provided the chisel, he had right to get it from me whenever he wanted..

THE NEXT DAY I went to the local hardware store, bought a $20 chisel...Brought it to work that night..I was busy using the chisel working very hard as always, when he walks up to me not holding any part or anything and asked me for my chisel...I said "this chisel" Yeah this chisel" he says...."this is my personal chisel from home" he wanted me to give it to him I refused.......Ten minutes later I was called into the office again, and told I cannot be using my own chisel from home....What a bunch of bullsh**

Not fired but written up..

I also got written up because I was playing solitare on my Ipod cause there was nothing I had to do..
Sorry my post was soo long..

I shouldnt have quit that job to go to college, cause now I'm unemployed..

Yeah that almost sounds easy....

well i used to work for my uncle doing residential foundations, not sure how many construction workers there are on here but this isnt exactly a job for people that dont like to work for there money. Any ways we were putting in a footing at the end of the day last minute for a good friend of my uncles whom if i ever see again im going to drain all the oil out of his ford just for the satisfactions of doing so. We show up start building the footing while chasing his digger in the excavator around the hole which is what started my bit$% per usual, and to boot the concrete truck is 5 mins down the road we actually passed it to get to the job. Which for those that dont know is just a usual thing in the trade when you work for a hack master, but any ways im in the hole putting in a jump as we call it which is just a step down when the grade changes. So im working my a$$ of rushing when it happens. I swing my 22 ounce east wing as hard as i can to drive the nail except instead of hitting the nail i hit my finger shattering the tip of it. i mean it spattered blood all over the dirt 5 feet away. No sooner does the hammer hit my finger when my uncles buddy starts breaking my balls. He asks me if i need a pink bandage ha ha funny. I lost it told him i was going to beat him within an inch of his life so on and so forth, wind up pulling my razor knife out pulling out the blade and start to go after the guy when for some reason i stop just end up throwing it across the job which almost took out a really good friend of mine. In the end i smashed all the lights out of his ford and walked home. Yes i got fired i dont see why....LOL

I understand how some of that can be annoying when you're there and it happens all the time but why didn't you just take the chisel over to the grinder and get it fixed up like new?

I did...Really...But it was a the principal of taking my chisel, and reuining it, and then I have to fix it..

this is a good thread.

I really wish I could share how many times I should or would have been fired for Bank of America. For example, when I was 18 I started working there. I was already training and mentoring new hires within the first few months I started working there. Well, one of them wasa 29 year old former high school economics teacher.

Of course shes all happy go lucky, thanks for all your help TOM! type of girl. Months pass, I see her here and there, answer questions for her, worked difficult accounts she couldn't decision.

A year later, SHE IS PROMOTED TO MANAGER. GUESS WHO'S MANAGER? Yup. Mine. So now, I have this girl who I TRAINED who is my manager.

Does anyone see the conflict in this? If not, let me explain. This means, that no matter what I say to correct her, no matter what information I provide to her, she is contradictingly right, as she is my superior, yet a superior who needs a lower position associate to help her. But I couldn't help her, she would tell me how I was wrong on things and I'd tell her shes wrong. Never worked out. SO, I flexed my good ol tenure and benefits, and I took a nice leave with full pay. Hope she isn't there when I get back.

Another time, we had an actual educator become a manager. She wasn't used to real life account situations, so she would have trouble making 'out of the book' decisions. At one point, she told me she didn't agree with what I had done to an account. ALL I DID, was ask her WHY, WHY was what I did wrong. She couldn't answer me, she was dumbfounded, so she ended up writing me up for defiance. ??????????????????? yeah I know, WILD isn't it?

3 or 4 managers would put me on warning for things that happened months ago, so that I couldn't leave the department. I would post for a different position and literally that day I would be lied to and told the position isn't available anymore, even though I had just talked to the recruiter and set-up an interview.... it's insane guys, I'm telling you.

Fair warning to all you guys corporate jobs require you to bite your tongue quite a bit.

I'm leaving the company in August, and they always have the 2 week interview to ask why you are quitting. I can't wait for that day. They'll be listening to me for atleast 8 hours. LOL.

I have one. :)

My first job was as a Cashier at the HEB here in Bastrop. I loved it. Great money. Now during my puny 10 min break, I'd always go grab a jar of banana baby food, drink it on my way to the register, pay ($0.64), and throw the jar out at the register.

Well one day I had a lot on my mind. My manager was refusing to let me leave on time (she LOVED to keep me an hour or so past my ACTUAL clock-out) and I had to go pick up my sister from choir practice. So during my break, I go grab my baby food and on the way back up I'm trying to come up with a way to leave or get my sister picked up so she didn't have to sit at school for a freakin' hour. Well I forget to pay for the baby food and I just throw it out.

I'm back in the break room finishing my soda and my manager comes in and asks me if I payed for the baby food I just chucked. I immedietly remember I didn't and apologized. I grab my wallet out of my locker and I'm fixing to run up and pay when she stops me and says, "We don't employ thieves. Pack your stuff and leave." So they check my locker, my car, and all my pockets to make sure I hadn't stolen anything else! I mean seriously! $0.64!!

Some serious BS if you ask me.

If you were already fired why the hell would you let them search you or your car, i can understand the locker. I would tell that bi*** to #### off.

That's awfully kind compared to what I'd say. That stuff really gets to me.

Well, I used to work at Home Depot. I was the lot attendant, which is the guy that loaded the cars with concrete and all kinds of shit... It was also my responsibility to gather all the carts near the entrance. I was then promoted to the building and lumber department, so I no longer had to deal with all that BS... One day one of the lot attendants called in sick and they asked me to go get carts... I was pissed... So when I was getting the carts I took out a Sharpie marker and wrote "#### this shit!" on the handle of one of the carts... A customer saw me and complained and I was suspended and I was told to go home... I come back the next day and they told me I was fired and they cashed me out....

Then I got a job at Pacific Sunwear.. I worked in the stock room. One day out of nowhere I started to fool around with my manager, we started to flirt and she told me if I wanted to go to her place after work, I said yes... So I ####ed her... Even though she had a boyfriend and I had a girlfriend... So this one time we started to make out in the back room of the store... and she went down on me... We didn't know that we had cameras in the stock room, but apparently they had installed hidden cameras because they suspected that the employees were stealing... We were both fired for sexual harassment.....

At least you got some. :p

I worked at Lowes and had the same position...."loader". I loved it there, i did what ever i wanted. I used to get in the empty boxes, my buddy would ask someone to come over and help him move it, then bam, i jump out. I seriously loved that job, just because i had no responsibility and everyone loved me.

One guy got caught sleeping up in the insulation shelves, he was drunk, pretty funny.....i have to admit i wanted to try it

Ok i just got home from work and had to put this up here.

My manager walks into the bathroom while I was washing my hands. There was 2 people using the stalls. One guy comes out and leaves without washing his hands. The other guy has been in the bathroom for quite a while, which is why the manager came in.

So i cut off the water and grab a towel to dry my hands. In the back of my mind i hear a beating noise coming from the last stall. The manager heard it too and knocked on the door. The guy inside yells out F*CK OFF IM WHACKING IT.

The manager called the police and the employee was fired then arrested.

How funny is that.

Dude how can you call the police for something like that? rofl

One time my supervisor was acting like a little b!tc* and said you know what I am going to f@k your wife then he said he was going to beat my a** then I said no that is what I am going to be doing to your wife after work and said get the f@k out of here got fired my third day.

Get rich.

I was working at subway and just got tired of it and walked out when I was 16. Can't make 1 person do all the dirty work and get paid the same as a new hire.

You from the midwest? XD
I got fired from Subway because he said I wasn't working hard enough. I was going to school, 0700 -1500, then doing Subway 1600-2300 sometimes. (That's evening shift, usually closing. So I was A little tired.

I took a nap in the back after a really hard shift.

There is supposed to be 3 people working at these stores. One making sandwiches, one doing ring ups, and one in back doing preps. For some reason, I was the only one a majority of the time. My small town had a Halloween Mardi Gras. And it happen to go down the street the store was located at. So I'm working Friday night. At Mardi Gras. By Myself. And then I get fired because I wasn't working hard enough.

My checks were usually 35-39 hours a week. I was the only one working that much and he refused to let me get the other hours... >.<

Later on he let me go because they said I wasn't working hard enough.

banged my boss's daughter.

twice.

after getting caught by him the first time. and yeah, i got caught again.

oops.
