My SSR's when I bought them were gold. However, I really did not like how they "flowed" with the car, so i decided to paint them white. I personally think it looks great but I am a little biased since it is my car :p

Comments welcomed!

Specs:
SSRs GT7 17x8.5 35+ mm offset.
Michelin 245/40/17 Pilot Sport PS2 (front) & Pilot Primacy (rear)

looks good. I like the black door handles, it helps break up the side of the car. Good work!:thumb:

This is the main reason i decided to paint the door handles black.

Looks good to me. I would only suggest getting some white door handles, and accent some interior trim with white.

There is no way i am ruining a well maintained 99 black interior with painted white accents :barf:

All you used was wheel paint, and probly a clear?

That's all ya really need. It's not too hard to get wheels looking nice with a lot of thin layers and some gloss :thumb:

Wish powdercoating were this easy =[

-Great job btw, looks very nice with your car. It's a tough choice, but I think white on black, white on gold and white on white all look great.

I've always wanted to have a white car with black time attack style rims (I <3 the red pinstripe)

Its really simple to paint wheels all i did was:

Masked the polished lip
Sand them
Prime them
Paint them
Let them sit for a week (it says on the can it needs one full week for the ceramic to cure)

*I did not put a clear coat on because I have seen a few pictures of white wheels turning a little tint of yellow because of the clear coat.*

yea the clear can yellow especially if its cheap stuff. The good stuff on the other hand shouldn't do that. But it looks great man keep up the good work!

Dan! I actually like it! I also liked the gold though. I thought I was going to like the gold more than the white but nope!

Looks great. I'm also not digging the front. I would paint the door handles white also. The only bad thing about that is that they break all the time so everytime you get new handles you have to paint them. Ive broke both of my handles off.
