Well not me, but about 2 weeks ago at my job, a fellow co-worker got fired at my job for watching porn 2 straight weeks in a row. What a bad one, and he has 2 kids and a car that is still not paid off. He should've been smarter. :notgood:

Anyone else have a story ?

Worked at Great America over the last summer (or the summer before, I don't know). I was chillin' in the control booth and someone gave the thumbs up. I wasn't at control my supervisor was but she was drinking or something so I leaned over and pressed the button.

Well apparently the dolt outside didn't even look and there was a woman still getting in. The cars only move forward one place at a time but she almost fell out and she had a total bi*** fit. Called over area managers and all this bull, I ended up getting a written warning, but they said the only reason I wasn't fired on the spot was cause they liked me.

Not fired, but shoulda been, does that count?

Meh that's close enough, still in the same category. Careful man, jobs are hard to find these days.

wait so the guy watched porn for 2 straight weeks? and where do you work? I need context.

Not a friend by any stretch, but a guy that I used to work with was fired for being convicted of molesting his 3 year old niece and was sent to prison.

He formerly worked on the pediatric floor of the hospital I have worked at for the last 6 years.

His nickname while he was here was "special Ed".

I used to work at Little Caesars Pizza.

Every night the crew would do absolutely nothing, then give me all the orders since I was the new guy. Finally I waited until the general manager was actually in the store and told every last one of the to #### off, that they were all lazy pieces of shit who would end up working there their whole life. I said it to the tone where I was ready and willing for one of them to try and throw a punch. I truly meant it. Then I threw my smock at my supervisor, flipped him off and left.

Kind of like the new guy in that movie "waiting". At the end where he cusses everyone out then gives em the goat. Yeah, it was pretty much like that but I just never went back. You only get screwed so much til it's screw you too, ya know?

Sometimes you know when you're too good for a job. Seriously. :hellyeah:

Dang that's pretty bad delta. Xioca i would rather not say here.

Well, looooong ago, I worked for Ronnie's Supper Club (a fancy name for McDonald's), and had been there about 3 years when I was promoted to floor supervisor (asst. mgr). Unfortunately, I had to relocate to one of the other stores in my city, which was only on the other side of town.

So, I reported on Saturday afternoon for my first session of training and was introduced to the other managers and most of the crew. I knew two of the managers from other interaction at my previous store, but didn't know the head store manager at all, only had heard about him.

Guy was nice, but all I knew about him was that he was married with 3 kids. 2 sons and a daughter. (Remember this part, as it will come back in a few minutes).

So, anyway, I finish my weeks worth of training and start my first actual shift on the floor. I started my first two weeks on the floor working the 2pm to close shift (10pm on weekdays) and was getting into the routine pretty well, although it was hard getting some of the crew to do what I had asked of them as I was only 19 when I got promoted. Some of the gang didn't like that they had been there longer and hadn't been promoted.

So, making friends with the crew was kinda hard, and also prohibitited as mgmnt wasn't allowed to fraternize with crew, but I was the youngest manager at the store, and the next closest one to me in age was 25. Big gap considering I wasn't even legal to drink.

So, I started making friends over time with the crew, which included this cute brunette. She wasn't bombshell hot or anything, but was a cute little hometown cutie. Went out to a movie one weekend and dinner the next and ended up at my apt afterwards and had some drinks while listening to music.

Well, one thing led to another and we ended up bumpin uglies. And, boy was it good, too.

So, next day rolls around and I get to work, and she is working, too. Now, I am trying to be all sneaky about it cause I am not supposed to be fraternizing, but she keeps smiling at me and shit, and I can't get her to quit talking to me.

My head store sees our interactions and approaches me after the lunch rush had subsided and asks, "Why has she been smiling at you all day?."

My reply, "Good question, why don't you ask her?"

Which he did, and the second interaction with him wasn't so cordial.

"Um, Neal, you know that is my daughter, right?"

I had to have turned 8 shades of white in a matter of seconds, now wondering how much she told him.

"No, I didn't Mike. I had no idea, truely."

"She told me you two went out to dinner last night. Is that true?"

I told him it was, but of course didn't go any farther with the after dinner details.

"Well," he said, "you know policy of not fraternizing with crew, plus she is my daughter. She said you were really nice, though, so I'll let it slide this time, but no more. Got it?"

As things would go, we would continue the relationship for about another 4 months. Only when I was going into the Navy and knew that I would never be working there again did I say anything to anyone about the whole deal.

"So, yeah, Mike. I got something I need to get off my chest. You're girl's a wildcat in the sack. That first dinner date we had a few months back...well, it didn't end all nice like she told you."

Walked out of that store never to return to it again.
Last I knew, she was married with a couple of newborns (two/three years old max) and living out of state.

Now, if you believe any of that, I'll sell you a bridge in Tokyo bay.

I actually almost did get fired for having a relationship (two actually) with a couple of girls, but I just ended up getting transferred agagin.

i worked at wal-mart TLE i had a guy come in and we had declined a tire mount cause of a badly bent rim and he dint have a spare tire so there was nothing we could do, well the guy got pissed and spit in my face and pushed me, well knowing my anger i threw the impact gun though his front windshield and then i was fired, but wal-mart paid for his window repair.

Not that you need anyone to tell you but you would have been much better off calling the police. Not because it would have been easier on you but because it would have been harder on him. No matter how badly you beat a guy up he is usually back to normal in a month or two. An assault on your record lasts forever and is much more expensive than a windshield that someone else pays to replace.

My buddie (who got me into the DSM scene) and I worked at a little ma and pa resturant and the said resturant had a apartment upstairs which he rented out. Well we had this smoking hot waitress working with us and He basically took her upstairs while on break and pounded out a piece. The owner wasn't too happy at first because his wife was standing right next to him but after she left he was pretty cool about it and asked if he had a shot.

I thought that was pretty funny.

I got fired from a car dealership for telling a customer to go f himself and the building doesn't have a red cross on it. It really didn't bother me all that much since I had another job ligned up and I was going to quit that friday..

I got fired drom safeway back in 2004 for getting super hammered at work telling averyone to "get ####ed" and showing my cack and balls to some unsuspecting customer, well thats what chugging a micky of R&R will do to a person i guess.

On a side note i still kind of feel sort of bad about it, but then i laugh to my self and realise i'm better off now anyway and you only live once.

got fired from my security job, i was being paid 15$ an hour to start, with over time available 30$ double times. chose my own schedule, no drug tests............chilling with the coworkers and stand there. lost my job because someone there took my place for lunch, let people in on the side gate, charged them money for it, and then i got blamed when I was on vacation the following week. I didnt fight it. I just quit............ I messed up big.

a guy i know who used to work for Sears a few years ago got busted by a co-worker sleeping in the large fridge/freezer boxes when he was suppose to be working in the warehouse. he was on his 2nd or 3rd week of doing it when he was reported and then fired. i can only imagine what his parents reaction was

same guy also got fired from a local GMC lot when he was apart of a collision with a customer car. he was driving car and didnt yeild to a busy blind corner of the building on the lot and another guy on a fork lift put the forks thru part of the door and fender. both fired on the spot!

Used to work at a car dealership decades ago. I started off working in the detail shop on the used car side. The powers that be (Service Manager) found out that I was good at installing alarm systems and car stereos and decided he'd make a little side money off me (while I was only making $8.00/hr) and put me up front with the service writer (one per shift) as an "assistant". They used to have this car stereo shop do all their installs, but they were pricey. Now that they could abuse me, they decided to get rid of that shop. Now, when a new car was sold, they'd sell the whole "have a brand new alarm installed/bring me the stereo from your trade-in and we'll have it put in nice and neat" bullshit while charging them nearly twice what the stereo shop did (I STILL made only $8.00/hr, no commission!).

Long story longer, while I sat up front at the service desk, I also got into selling service jobs. I kicked serious ass at being a service writer. The customers all liked me, I was good on the phone, and was still able to get done an average of 1-2 alarm systems a day. One day the dealership went to a new computer system and I was the only one from the service desk (not the actual service writers) to go to class to learn the new system. When I would sell a job, big or small, I would get my $8.00/hr, while the actual service writer on duty got ALL the credit for MY sales. I didn't mind, really. It wasn't hard work, and at least I wasn't in the back slaving and washing cars.

After a while, both of the service writers (who hated each other by the way) began to wonder where all the money from my sales was going. It turned out that since I was the only one qualified on the computer, my sales were the only ones that were being recorded. I outsold both of those assholes by $10,000 in one month (still $8.00/hr). In the end, it was discovered that the Service Manager was lining his pockets with all of my sales, and the two service writers were losing money big time. Eventually they joined together and invented a list of complaints about me from various customers, and I was fired for "being rude to customers". When these customers in question were asked about their experience with me, they only spoke about the rudeness of the OTHER service writers!

Basically, with the two service writers losing money because of me, they felt that they were better off without me there. They learned to use the computer, and the Service Manager was no longer able to pocket my sales and get away with it. Thus, I became expendable. I got fired on January 3. Happy new year to me, huh?

My first job was at pick n save(grocery store), i had 26 no call no shows and still didnt get fired. I showed up to work drunk and still didnt get fired, i feel asleep in a staff meeting with the regional manager and was snoring very loudly apparently, still wasnt fired, i vandalized a car of another employee and they got mad and told and i still wasnt fired. Then i just showed up for work one day and they said i didnt sweep the floors good enough and fired me. LOL

A couple jobs later i was working at target 4am-12pm shift, i got a chance to go and live in houston with some friends and i took it, left work at 8 am and never went back. 2 months after me not showing up for work they called my cell and said we need to talk about your attendance, i said attendance i havent showed up for 2 months. To which they replied were gonna have to let you go then.

Then my next job i worked cleaning cars at a car rental place at the airport. I worked there for a while and became a shift lead of 2nd shift. The structure employees at the airport count cars and tell me how many they will need to cover all the customers and extras for walk ins, so i got them all the cars they needed and sent everyone home an hour early. Well someone miss counted and they were 8 cars short so at 1am the manager had to get up and come and clean cars. The next day i was fired

Lol amazing stories i love it. Keep it coming guys.
BTW - toyotaturbo that's a kickass story ! Got fired but cause of being hated on.

I worked for an ebay company. They went bankrupt within a year.

I worked for a pizzaria, they closed due to uncleanliness. (I was a delivery guy)

I used to work at circuit city. They liquidated.

Not much of a story but thats the past 3 years of my life.

At circuit city, I was lead technician. My job was to make sure customer's laptops and new sales were all checked by my technicians and had no problems before they left the store. One day, I sold 2 laptops to 2 gentlemen within 15 minutes of each other. They both got the same work done, setup, install antivirus, blah blah. One bought a $1400 sony and the other bought a $600 acer. My technician ended up packing the sony in the acer box and the acer in the sony box. When the customers picked up, I didnt open the box and check, so I ended up giving a $1400 laptop to a customer that paid way less. Company rules result in immediate termination if laptops are stolen or improperly given away. I somehow got around it and saved both my ass and my technician. This may count as getting fired, as the company closed a month or so later.

Jesus your like a plague on companys LOL

My first job was at this little pizza place. Most of us were in high school (16-19 years old) with the exceptions of a couple people. We would have water bottles filled with Vodka and a soda on the side to cover the smell, smoke out back (not cigs), and throw dough, meat, and pretty much any other food we had at each other. We would also threaten each other with knives. We were all fired and quit so many times it wasn't even funny anymore. But after the whole ordeal blew over for whatever it was, we were right back to work. GREAT times!

I worked for Cingular/AT&T in a corporate store as sales. I was supposed to go to training for the iPhone, but got another job, so I just skipped training. My boss called me late one night right before the release on the iPhone asking if I had went and I said no because blah blah. I wasn't allowed to sell any iPhones because of that then, but they put me in the store to work security at the front door... basically just allowing x amount of people in at a time since the line was down the block. So people are trying to start shit with me getting up in my face about me not being to tell them how many we had in stock and any details, so I would get in their face, be loud and make a scene. They were like, "were telling your boss". I was just like "I dont care... it's my last day. That's why I'm out here with you guys"

When I came in to drop my stop off the next day, my boss said I would have been fired for the way I treated the people if I wasn't quitting LOL.

Tell me about it. I worked at Best Buy for a while but had to quit over xmas to see my family... spent the next three months searching for a job every singe day. Craigslist, jobhunt sites, sending e-mails and calling people, you name it. It was horrible.

But I got a call from Best Buy saying they want me back so yeee :thumb: It really pays to be a good employee. Getting this job was the only thing standing between me and a DSM, so here it comes :sneaky:

I worked for a Mercedes dealership right out of high school. I was responsible for doing details on customer cars, doing dealer prep on new cars before they went on the lot, and my favorite, I went to pick customer cars up for service and returned them afterwards. I got to pick up a AMG Hammer one time for service because it had a vibration starting at 90 that went away at 120. Awesome car. Well anyway, I got sent to pick up a 560sl for service and was romping on it on the way back to the dealership. When I got back to the dealership the service manager pulled me in his office and told me that a neighbor down the road from the customer had called the customer to tell them that I was flying when I went past their place. Well the customer called the dealership and I got fired because of it. That was the only time I have ever been fired from a job.

A couple of years later I was working nights at a machine shop. We used to have forklift races around the building since we didn't actually have any supervision on the night shift. One night a couple of guys were racing and one of them hit some tool oil that had leaked from one of the cnc lathes. It just happened to be near the loading dock, and when he hit the oil he lost control and slid and went over the loading dock wrecking the forklift and breaking his collarbone. Needless to say, he was fired when we had to call the shop foreman at 2:30 in the morning to take him to the hospital.

I got arrested while working at circuit city years ago. 10 cops there in total they cuffed and stuffed me right there in front of everyone. I was involved in a police chase 2 days prior (I was not driving). Getting arrested wasn't dumb and it's a long story but I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Worked at a Chrysler/Mitsubishi dealer for 6 years, it got bought out by a group of a-holes, I quit 6 months or so after that.

Worked at a GM dealer after the Chrysler/Mitsubishi dealer that got bought out 11 months after working there (best paying job I have ever had) The announcement that we were closing came on a Friday morning at 9:30, my B-day was the following monday. In short the company gave all the time off I wanted as a B-day present

One of my first jobs was at Harris-Teeter. I was a grocery bagger, so 1 Saturday the boss asked me to run a register so I did. The only other bagger there was the office manager's son who disappeared the whole day leaving me as the only one bagging groceries and running a register. The boss realized that we were all out of shopping carts and asked me to close my register and go outside to get all of the carts. It had to have been 110 degrees outside and there had to have been 80 or so carts out there. I told the boss to get the other kid to go get them since he hadn't done $hit all day. The boss told me to go home, then called me Sunday morning and asked me why I wasn't at work.

Sorry for the long read
