well, got pulled over the other day racing a friend, i was already backing off when a cop passed us and did a big U in the middle of the road i got pulled over the other kid took off and got stopped 2 blocks away. as far as i know i didnt get a break. the cop was just bitchin about how when the weather gets nice everyones driving there fancy cars and speeding. anyway ive got 6 points already and + points will make my insurance un-affordable. even more then it is now but theres no way ill be able to afford to drive the talon anymore.


is there anything i can do... he wrote " 67/35 Actual Speed" and told me if i fight it he can give a careless to. but theres gotta be something. im gonna see about talking to a lawyer monday.


I also heard theres like a driving class you can take to get rid of the points any ideas anyone????

Take the ticket, beg for mercy, ask for the drivers safety course, and STOP STREET RACING!!!!!!!!
Its cheaper and less problems to keep it on the track.

Holy shit!! 67 in a 35!! that's 32mph over! I'm surprised they didn't impound your car and arrest your ass! Be lucky you just got a ticket.

BTW, you can (at least in my state) try to ammend the ticket. Pretty much pay double the fine and they move it down to a non-moving violation. Get an opinion from a lawyer though. They may look at your record and say, "Hell no!" But that's what kept me driving in highschool!!

+1. Take the car to a closed course or empty road where there is absolutely no one. Why race on the streets and put yourself and others at risk ? It's not smart.

The same way a trooper clocked me on I-10 when I was going 85 in a 70. I asked him how he got me from the opposite direction and he said that my car was the only car with gold on my hood, referring to carbon fiber shining in the sun.

thats almost double the speed limit, if you double in PA i think they suspend you license. But im not sure.

I was told 20 over is reckless driving. Street racing is an automatic reason for impound and a trip to the police station.

People try to race me almost everyday. They see the A-pillar gauge pod at night and just punch it. I've never street raced, you can too.

Pretty much one of the only ways to get out of a speeding ticket is to contest the calibration of the radar. Not all Police Departments calibrate their radars as often as they are supposed to. Or go to your court date and hope the police officer doesn't show up then you can ask for the charges to be dropped due to your accuser not being present. Final option would be to go to court date and have an extremely good reason as to why they should drop your rather excessive speeding ticket to a non moving violation. Id say it is safe to say your screwed....

I hope they impound your car and sell it to someone not as stupid as you...at the very least, I'll feel somewhat safer on the road.
