So I am really starting to think I have the nicest shape 2nd gen within hundreds of miles at least. Every 2nd gen I see around here is beat, dented, rusted, scratched, wrecked, or whatever LOL. Anyway, I figured I'd share some photos I've taken of her. Some are older, some are newer with the new front grill. Let me know what you think...Enjoy.

Looks very nice, I would ditch the front grill

I wasn't sure about having a grill, but IMO I think it looks better with it, especially with the color of the car. There's a pic or two up there without the grill. Hard to believe she's 12 years old with 172,xxx miles on it LOL.

I assume your claim is your exterior is the nicest since there is no engine bay/interior shots?

And I'm not sure if you've seen my brother's cleanup thread yet :p His exterior might not look as nice, but you could eat off of his engine/interior!

I'm not digging the grill (replace it with something that looks like that but is functional - FMIC!), but it does look really nice :thumb:

The interior is immaculate also, just don't have those pics on the laptop, they're still on the desktop. I'll get some soon to prove it! :hellyeah: Haha

The engine bay was in *good* shape, but now it's 100% restored since it has no motor in it. The motor has been gone 3 weeks, and all I've been doing is restoring the bay to match the new, clean motor :) I'll have to take some recent pics of the bay.

That picture is so clear going 120 LOL

Lol, what's even scarier is I have a crystal clear video of me doing a 0 - 130 run...The video is of just the gauges; and yes, I was taking the video while driving. Kind of difficult holding the camera in the left hand with the forefinger/thumb while holding the wheel, and using the right to shift LOL.

Going 120, and your temp gauge reads cold, as if your car were off, hmmm... :hmm:

I don't have it hooked up, I have an AutoMeter Cobalt water temp gauge that replaced it, same with the oil pressure ;)

Yep, and a nice CEL too!

Remind me not to drive near you while you're doing that speed and/or filming yourself.

LOL
It's about time someone said something about the CEL haha. It was on forever, had a bad IAC but finally got it fixed...like 3 months before the motor CW'd :banghead:

Two more I found on the laptop...I'll get more off the desktop...

Your car does look really clean, It nice... But there are some really really nice eclipses in Pittsburgh, friends cars that are really nice. I would say make you the the nicest in hermitage, but its the county. See you have shot some pic down in Pittsburgh. Keep her clean dude, looks good.

I guess you could say I'm keeping the grill on because it's more for security than looks. I've had the grill on since last summer and my FMIC is still mint, no badly bent fins, etc. I'll get a couple here and there but they're easy to straighten up. When I was running with no grill, I had way more bent fins and bugs all over it evrywhere.

So is this now a who has the cleanest dsm thread? I guess i can throw my hat in there..mine even looks better with the new 2gb talon bumper. Mine is 12yrs old too and interior is imaculate and the engine will look better once i throw in my 6 bolt swap in. Once the swap is done ill post pics. If anyone has doubts BLACKBULLET can co sign. Everyone has some nice pics keep up the good work.
