I'll be honest. That's pretty cool.

Like our lowered DSMs that put our heads at bumper height aren't death traps?

4 Star crash test saftey rating, atleast with the 1gs.

I'm cool with that, I'd rather not have a civics body crumple on top of me because it lacks support.

I like it..But it looks like they just cut a crx in half and added an s10 bed..Wait untill this weekend..Were gonna take the hatch of my 1g, and see how it looks. Ever seen a 1g El Camino?

This is the weirdest thing, LOL. I ran into a guy with a CRX that did the same thing. But this one was in Alabama, so it was exceptable :p

For a honduh it actually looks cool. When i take my hatch off my eclipse, if i like the look then i will be doing sumthing like that to it. Soon my eclipse will be losing its daily driver status so why not have a little fun with her.

For the recrord, rancheros are so much better then elkys.

I like the first one. It would look even better with paint. The second one (crx) looks kinda weird with the shortened s-10 rear.

How is a Ranchero better than an El Camino?
Wasn't the El Camino first? Making a Ranchero just a copy?.

Hell no. First Ranchero was built in '57, first Elky in '59. My ranchero is a 79 (the last model year) its a ltd2 front end, coolest headlights ever put on a car. Its a gt package witch has a ford 351 block bored out to 400 cid by ford. She shits an gets:hellyeah:

i love el caminos and i would love to build my own car/truck if i had the time. I even made acouple of photoshops of some cars i would love to see made into one..

found one of the photoshops i did, one is the new dodge avenger

i think that would make a pimp sports truck

Looks like there is a FMIC stuffed in the bumper too:thumb:

You're right.

As far as no support for the car's frame, there isn't a difference from an old average pickups integrity as long as there is a panel boxing them in behind the 2 front seats. That alone increases it's stiffness.

I guess so, but you haven't taken into account if you roll it....

There is no difference a flat panel does that triangulation if it were in a situation like that.

The roof will crumple regardless.
