a buddy of mine decided to put his wheels up for sale.

they are 19x8 volk GT-V 2 piece. wheels not sure of the offset, but i am very very tempted of making a purchase.:sneaky:

so today we decided to test fit them on my spider to see how they would fit, but i need you guys to give me some feedback on fitment

one thing i notice, is that the tires are to small for a 2g dsm, they are 225/35/19 <<small!!!

so what tires you guys suggest to put on them to enhance the look of these Volks??

sorry for the pics i will take pics tomorrow in the daytime!:D

a 225/35/19 is actually the ideal size. It keeps the overall circumference close to the stock size. However, if you want more meat on the tires go 235/35/19. Lastly, telling use the offset would be useful. Just by looking at them i think they are 45-40.

Ya they are in the 40+.

And I am not digging it too much on how they look.. But I was thing 245 35.19 or 235/40/19 with a 10mm spacer.

The spacer would be to bring the wheel out a bit since it dosent look flush with the fender, and that's the look I am looking for ;)

if your on coilovers you will have no problem since you can just raise the car enough so it doesnt rub. As it sits right now your car is too low. I have coilovers with a 9kg/6kg spring rate and I needed a 2 finger gap in the front a 3 finger gap in the rear to have absolutely no rubbing (even with people in the rear seats) with my old 8" 35mm offset on 245/40/17 or my 8.5 with 255/40/17.

First post, how could you miss it?
How wide are those Volks? 7.5?

If the offset is +49 there is no way you are going to fit wider wheels without spacers. For example, my RX7 wheels are 8" 50+ offset and i rubbed with a 225/50; I had to get a 5mm spacer just to clear the control arm. I you want a 235-245 you will probably need 8mm-10mm spacers, extended studs, and longer lugnuts.

P.S.- why dont you have the back wheels on? Don't tell me you only bought two

No... I will post pics of them install...

I was planning on 10mm spacers to atleast bring the wheels out and make it look "flush" with the body.
