My stupid ass ex room mate that recently did this to my car, hit me in the face because he is a prick to his parents and I stood up to him for it. Turns out I have a Septum Deviation. I thought it was Septal Hematoma at first, but its not going away like that should, since thats just a blood blister on the Septum.

I used to already have breathing issues in the morning... but not like this. Now I can't even fall asleep cause I can't breath out of my nose. I can't stand it!

yeah i actually had an operation on my nose two years ago because of a "deviated septum" the doctors ported and polished my nose holes.

Yup. Got smashed by a car head on while I was on my bike at the age of 18. Got tossed through the windshield and hung up in the steering wheel.. Fractured my neck. Broke my nose. 2 boxers fractures below both eyes. and glass embedded in the cartalige in my nose. Along with Inhaling about a shotglass or splintered glass from the windshield..

I also cannot sleep and breath through my nose.. I wake up clogged to hell. Just get ready to have 2 or 3 bottles of water next to your bed each night to keep your throught moist. Or you will wake up coughing up blood...
Happens to me about 2 times a week. Fun stuff..

GL on the repairs..

Yeah dude it sucks. All last night I was tossing and turning because I couldn't sleep. I have to keep my mouth open. Its weird, the left side of my nose is where its deviated, but the right side is harder to breath out of... I don't know why. Right now the right side is flowing better. But if I lay down, I'm screwed and the left side will actually flow where the right side will clog up.

the operation wasnt too bad except the next two days after was hell, i had to wait a couple of years because the doctors said my face had to stop growing. they just. i used have the same problems as you guys though... and i know it sucks big time. the operation is definetley worth it.

Wait, so you had to suffer for a few years before you could have the operation? SCREW THAT! I can't do it. Its only been like a month or a little longer and I can't stand it. I even tried those nasal strips and they hardly work.

Oh thank god... I'm 24. This is making me so miserable. I heard I'll regain like 80% of my energy that I lost from not being able to breath right, within a week.

Thats why I wanna get the surgury soooooooo bad... Cause I am soo drained since then. I don't ever do anything anymore cause I'm tired.

I also had a deviated septum. Mine was since childhood though. I had it repaired about 6 years ago. It was the most awesome thing I've ever had done. Before I had allergies real bad and couldn't even really smell anything unless I really tried. After it was totally different. I still have allergies but I barely notice and my nose is clear all the time. The recovery is kinda crappy. The first few days sucked because I had these tampon style bandages crammed in my nose that I had to leave in. After I got those out it was alright. The crazy pressure of them went away and I only had to deal with the annoying feeling of having scabs and giant boogers in my nose I couldn't get rid of since they told me I couldn't blow my nose. If you have decent insurance I recommend it. If not it will be pretty expensive. If you don't know already, the specialist you need to talk to is a ENT, Ear Nose and Throat.

Wow. Where to start man..

When I was 10 I had a surgery where I had my tonsils and adnoids removed. I was also suppose to have my deviated septum re constructed.

The operation was to take 5 hours.......... it took 14 hours.

My nasal passage was so bad, the surgeon said it was the worse he's seen in 40 years of medical practice. We are suppose to have a passage somewhat like a straws size, but he said mine was the size of the little stirring straws instead. almost 1/6th of the normal size. The extra time was to clear all that shit out of my airway.

This surgery was very painful when you wake up. I threw up a gallon of blood in the hospital just from blood leaking down my throat during the operation.

The surgery helped me greatly after the first few years. I lost ALOT of weight, since I could actually breath I became more active, and I ate less since I could actually taste the food. I was at my peak in my racing, I was in great shape also.
------------------------------------

12 years later, NOW, I'm 22.

AND I NEED THE SURGERY AGAIN :notgood: :notgood::notgood::mad::notgood::mad: I can't breathe EVER out of my nose. I wake up and I CANNOT breath anymore. I try and have tried every god damnned med under the sun.

What I've found is that the most natural thing helps me the most. I'll wake up and chew on an entire banana hot pepper because the spice clears me up. It isn't pleasant but neither is being unable to breathe.

I have to contact the surgeon soon and set another surgery up, but I don't know if I want to do that. I can't get used to the trend of always getti ng a surgery every decade. Not cool.

Good luck with yours though, hope it helps!

EDIT- Dude you have it EASY you JUST STARTED not being able to breath from your nose, some people have been dealing with it their whole life. Like me, I'm literally used to it I rarely can notice anymore...
