My mods are in my profile, and i'm running an open stock downpipe now. We are having a dyno day next month but i'd like to see what kinda power you guys think it's making. I'll be running the stock 14B @ 15PSI on 110 octane

The 110 octane will do nothing for you. Stick with pump gas. Based on that decision I would say somewhere between 150hp-500hp. Wait til your dyno day. No one can tell you what your car will make. If I had to thrown an estimate, 150hp-170hp. Like I said though with 15psi the 110 octane isn't going to do anything but affect your pocketbook.

ROFL 110 octane on 15psi? Why not moving that up to 25psi?

I am going to assume you might not know what you are doing no offense. The higher octane rating is to suppress knocking and allowing to run more boost.

I mean my previous owner at 25psi made 300rwhp. I have no idea how true that is but that is what he told me.

I dont know what i'm talking about?? The n/t 4G63 has 9:1 compression and mine was knocking at 10psi, therefore i'm going to be running 110 when it's dynoed. I'll definately turn it up as far as I can though when I see what the logger shows. I know that no one is going to give me an exact number....duh. I just figured some people on here might have had a similar setup before and could give me some input

and btw, running a 14B on 25psi would just be pissing in the wind.

I have tuned MANY 9:1 cars that run in excess of 20lbs on 91 octane. And not 14b's either, HX35's FP3065's. Cars that flow some real air. Just need a good tune on the car to get it to work with the fuel. And try telling that to the guys that run 23-24psi on the 14b and run 11's.

Every single 14B i've seen on the dyno has just been blowing hot air after 20psi. I dont care how many 9:1 cars you've tuned on 91 octane MINE STARTS TO KNOCK RIGHT AROUND 10-12PSI There is no need to argue in this thread. If you dont have anything helpful or informative to say just keep it to yourself please. :toobad:

As with any higher octane fuel it will only do you good if you take advantage of it through timing advance.
That being said isnt this site pretty clear on threads like LOL

Defiant should be moving this soon I imagine

I've personally seen a 14B powered GST make 285fwhp with cams and a FMIC. The boost was set at 28psi and dwindled down to 21-22 at redline.

If you're knocking at 10-12psi then you have some issues. What size injectors/pumpr are you running? Mods list?

My mods list is in my profile. 285WHP seems really weak for cams and 28psi. Car is in perfect running order with no issues. I didnt say that I was getting alot of knock at 10-12psi I just said it was starting to knock, and on n/t pistons any amount of knock can be deadly.

It's kind of lame if the thread would get locked. I'm just asking because I figured some people might have a similar setup to mine and can give me something to shoot for.

But it's bench racing.

I always thought that the 1st gen n/t were the same motors with out oil squirters.

My question what are you guessing that your car is going to make?

n/t's have 9:1 compression. I'd like to see somewhere around 200WHP depending on how much boost I feel safe running. Bench racing is talking about kill stories and racing people, which I have never done on this site.

well the site is pretty strong about bench racing because people are going to get in a pissing match as you can see. " well my buddy with a 16g ran 15psi" you know that type of crap is happening already.

I would say get some bigger injectors check the classifieds ebay and such because you can get yourself some 650-750's cheap.. Just remember that your not going to be able to control anything bigger than 650's on a safc. I have link and 750's and a wideband so makes my tuning alot easier.

if you're going to the dyno anyways, just go to the dyno. You've already wasted about a hundred fifty dollars of everyone else's time in this thread you might as well just get the test done.

$150 of everyone time, WTF are you talking about??? If you didnt want to waste your time you shouldnt have even clicked on the thread **** :ohdamn: All I was looking for was some people that had a setup similar to mine so I could compare to them. THATS ALL. Defiant please close this thread if you could, because apparently there are quite a few retards that like to post useless info to try and get fights started.

You know the one thing I find funny about the internet. No matter if it is the web forums or some kind of online gaming. Id be willing to bet that 90% or more of the people that pick fights wouldnt do it in person. I find it amusing how tough people get when they know that they are never going to meet.

I don't believe anybody is trying to pick a fight.....but as i said i had a thread exactly like this and it got locked, for what do you ask...bench racing.

This is bench racing as told by a moderator. If he was already going to the dyno then why post this? When I'm sure somebody with a actual problem could use everyone's help.
