you mean the breather filter thats just for people who dont want to use the pcv valve to suck oil into there intake, you can also use a catch can for that purpose

You mean on the cam cover?

They're perfect for coating everything under the hood with a fine layer of oil, so nothing will rust. And, when that naked positive terminal finds that strut bar, it'll light off better than Les Stroud's campfire.

Use a catch can, or run the breather tube out the bottom of the engine compartment to make up for some hippie's green efforts.

I second that statement. Couldn't have said it better myself. I did have the pleasure of checking a customer's car that the complaint was "when I make a left turn there is a popping sound followed by an electrical poping sound". You guessed it, too tall of a battery, exposed + terminal end, and no battery tie down. The freggin battery was grounding to the hood.
