Ok I have a 91 Talon TSI I am trying to get running. When I have the stock mass airfow on I get code 12. So I thought the mas airflow was bad. I took out my Gm Maf and translator and when I hook it up i get code 12 13 and 25. It idles good but just bogs out when you throttle it. Any help would be apreciated.

Still trying to make sense of your setup. Did you swap the stock MAF for a MAFT with GM MAF or did you have the Translator on the stock MAF?

sorry for the confusion I have a gm with tranlator and the stock with out. Ill have to go out and re test it but I dont have a loger I am using a snap-on scan tool. Ill see if I cant get more info. Be back in ten.

Do you have a multimeter. Try checking the TPS, as mentioned before, and the ISC motor according to the manual. Could be the ISC froze or just isn't stepping like it should.

Ok found out there is no "air flow" it reads 0. OK so my next question is when you hard wire an safc (the one in the car is inop)? Do you have to cut the air flow wire? Dose this even make sence?

Oh and be sure to inspect the plug for the MAF. (I.E. bent or broken pins)

Ok hold up... I'm guessing the scan tool is showing 0hz for airflow? Isn't there a resistance check you can do with a multimeter on the MAF? I haven't messed with one in a long time. give me some more details, i gotta run for a minuite but will be back

Problem solved!! I got this car with a blown motor put a new one in. It came with a S****Y APEXI SAFC2 that was inop. this SAFC was harwired in and the mas air flow wire to the ECU was cut for the SAFC. Once I respliced the wires it ran great. Now just need to fish assembly so I can sell this Dang thing so I can start my next project!! Thanks for the help.
