Sweet! I just checked the weather, 0% precip, perfect sunny skies, high of 65. Guys, we're in for a gorgeous day. Someone needs to bring a high res camera so we can get some sick meet pics :D

Hey James, let me know if you're gonna make it. We'll meet up and roll 2 deep. LOL!

Sounds like a plan to me buddy boi. I really hope it gets done. I'm getting the following done + Energy suspension master bushing kit, with the rear sway bars too.

- Timing belt
- Balance shaft belt
- Timing Tensioner
- Water pump
- Timing belt tensioner pulley
- Balance shaft tensioner pulley
- Idler pulley
- Crank seal
- Oil pump seal
- Balance shaft seal
- 2 Cam seals
- Harmonic balancer
- All other belts

I'm trying to sell my talon, so if yall know anybody that's looking for a good car holla at me. I'm asking $2400 for it and it will be as is. You'll get all the parts I just bought for it plus a 3" downpipe, manual boost controller, f/r strut bars, it has a pretty new clutch, new tires, and a ES master bushing kit. The only things I can think of wrong with the car is, sunroof don't work, blinkers don't work, horn-nope, and hatch shocks are gone. Other than that and besides it needing the timing done it ran wonderfully. 5042619231.

Did you even bother reading my first post!

4:00 pm
Civic Center
Lake Charles, Louisiana

I'll get there probably a little bit earlier because I have atleast one guy coming from League City, TX and I don't want him just chilling there alone.

Hold up. I didn't realize you were going to make this so late in the afternoon. I got other stuff going on too. If it were earlier say 10 or 11 i could do it but i got other plans for 5pm.

So the meet was a bust. I won't bother trying to get another one together seeing as everyone bailed. One non-member showed and he didn't even bother to say hi. Thanks anyway guys.

Sorry man, it was just timing. I assumed you were going to plan it for earlier. I was planning to make it and make it back in time for other plans. The effort doesn't go unappreciated though. :thumb:

Don't feel bad. These meets never do work out. Never. The first meet, the reason this thread was started, only one person showed up. It was me and captainredeyes.

The best "meet" I guess was at the Import Face Off. Lots of people. Pretty much will just have to wait for something big like that to come around.

Louisiana DSMers. There is a road racing event this weekend at No Problem Raceway. Unfortunatley, I am the only DSMer who racers there....But the event itself is a great event to come watch. Saturday is practice and an open lapping day. For $100 you can have your DSM on the 1.8 mile road course. Or just come by to check out the cars. Sunday is the full on race day where theer is 5 classes of wheel to wheel action.

I would like to see some DSMtuners.com members out there with their DSMs. Come out and check out the action.

Hmm..Thanks for the heads up. I might try to come out there. You will be there Saturday right?

:dsm:

I will be there till around 4-5 that afternoon...They have drag racing on Saturday nights. Our practice and open lapping day is the morning and afternoon. We sometimes stick around and watch some drag racing. But not too often.

I've autocrossed mine before back when i had the 16G on it. It was crazy trying to keep the turbo spooled so I wouldn't try now with my Holset. If you're looking to autocross for fun, it really doesn't take much. On the other hand if you're interested in getting serious about it... I would suggests sway and strut bars... possible ground controll but the adjustables i think would do fine. Believe it or not... i was able to make better times in my automatic 4 dr honda accord than i was in my talon. Something else I found that works great is -1 degree of camber on all four wheels. Autocross is some fun stuff!
