That screams girls car.

with some mods though it wouldn't look quite so girlish. the way that looks stock, i agree. it kinda reminds me of a late 80s/early 90s cavalier. with some better looking wheels and suspension, i think it would look great.

Interesting. I'd not heard of this car before. Is it in private hands, or is it the factory's? Was it factory-commissioned, or done by an individual? Home, or one of the conversion companies (like the ones who did the Mustangs, the 280Z, 300ZX, etc.)?

actually I like the targa look way more :) ...

[Too big.]

but there not "rainproof" its always wet inside :(

Wooooww. I like the targa look a lot more.

I was also looking at them doors they open straight up in the air.
I was wondering if that was a option on the 1g back then?
Why did they never go through with the convertiable 1g?
I dont like the way it looks anyhow.

That's probably what market research told them, too. There was also a huge panic in the convertible world about proposed NHTSA rollover protection for drop-tops, bringing to the world things like the Mercedes pop-up roll bar.

It's a miracle the DSM was ever given AWD. The sales numbers were lousy.

Found these pics awhile back while searching for the Eclipse 1g convertible.

ive only seen the targa models from europe but not these. the convertible looks pretty sweet!:thumb:
i wana do mine a targa tho. i think itll look cleaner. imo.

I was surfing google and I came across a 1989 Plymouth X2S and Mitsubishi Roadster...But with further surfing I found no traces of this car what so ever. Is this just a concept car that never came about? Is this one of the first diamond star motors? I was just curious about the car and wondered if anyone knows anything about this very appealing roadster?

Yeah, just wiki'd it.
Wiki led on to some... information that I thought you'd all like :)

The Plymouth X2S is currently being stored at the DaimlerChrysler Detroit Office Warehouse. It has been seen stored outside, in an L-shaped area on the south side of the building.

I think, I can, go find it.
