I keep the old car's profile listed for people to reference for the posted track times it ran. There's alot of followers out there looking for a proven setup to go off of. When it comes time to post new (better) track times on the HX-40 car, my profile will be updated.

Glad you mentioned this. So I took a picture of it for my own reference! This looks like it was one of the better hx35 setups around.
Was your compressor a 7 or 8 blade?
What octane was your race gas on that 126mph run?
Were you using the meth injection on that run?

Gary

I do not have B shafts anymore but I want to port the OFH to reduce pressure.
I think that I might try to make some kind of deal where I can measure what it is at the head.
Jeffgst i think said he measured it to be 45 max from the head.

If you want to port the relief valve in your OFH, that is good. Not so long ago I asked in a new thread, about oilpressure from the head and searched a little more, plus called and spoke to Oliver from SBR and came to conclusion, as I stated above... I foyu want to measure specifically what is your oil pressure from the head, I'll be more than happy to see how much oil pressure do you have. OK, here is what I got:

Question what Feed line are you guys running? on my Hx40 i wanted to run a filter on it and bullseye recommended me not to and to just run it from the head...well im sorry i don't want to have "NO" protection between my motor and turbo.

so they sent me a restrictor and hose and the wanted me to run the restrictor off the head and hose to turbo. well that's gonna look tacky i want a feed line to run from my Oil housing to the turbo.

Just wondering if anyone on here is running hose from oil housing to turbo w/ a restrictor.

How does your g/rev and lb/min curve look with the 280s and the stock intake manifold?

I'm a newb all over again with dsmlink, but from what I can tell airflow just keeps on rising as the rpm's increase. I deleted the log from yesterday, but from what I remember I was see'ing 35lbs/min from around 5500 on up well over 7k where it was starting to go higher.

The HX-35 car had the 7blade compressor. I DD that car on 91 pump gas and when I ran the 11.2@126 I had a half tank of 91 and approx. 5g of 110 on top of that. I was spraying a 50/50 mix of water/meth on top of that also. I never once changed my daily tune that night either, I simply upped the boost. That right there will tell you how conservative the tune was.

On a side note, me and my local buddy got some vids of the my HX-40 car tonight on some back roads. Car is pretty insane on just 15lbs, but I'll let you guys be the judge when he gets them on YouTube and linked here. ;)

Alright guys, me and mike went out for a little bit and got a couple videos.....They are uploading at the moment so they will be up shortly......

Heres a couple pictures of Mikes setup for starters.......Ill let him post any details that havent already been.....

The car runs good for 14-15 psi......

Nice, clean bay! The valve cover is different. I like it :thumb:

It won't really matter which compressor wheel Mike has used with the hx35, since the 8blade has plenty of flow and efficiency to do the same thing at the same boost.

I hope the mods are ok with me putting these here since these are all hx40 related and there is NO STREET RACING in these vids.....

Remember...This is only on 14-15 PSI

I got the BEP .70 ar housing, Sick of dealing with finding someone to machine me a garrett housing and finding a t4 housing in general.

I need to get a t3 mani now. I think i might try getting a turbonetics and see if it will fit. Or getting a dnp..

Someone buy my t4 mani.;)

Wow....that pretty nice....I Kinda wish someone didnt buy that Brandnew 7 blade hx40 on ebay for $415....I was gonna buy it...put the money in the bank...came home and it was gone :(....so0o I had to settle for a new PTE 6176

I just noticed the twin 1g bov's in the pictures. I was wondering why you decided to run 2 of them?

I just noticed the twin 1g bov's in the pictures. I was wondering why you decided to run 2 of them?

I've had a few people ask me that and my response was.... 1g bov's are cheap (about $30 used) Each valve has a 25mm piston which can only flow xxx amount of air. Most everyone runs bigger 50mm valves (Tial) on big turbo's with high boost. My thinking was 2-25mm valves could flow just as much as these 50mm valves with alot less cost. Lotta boost=more air that needs to escape when the throttle plate slams shut / 2-small valves=enough to get alotta air outta there without any flutter/surge.

That and I'm a ricer :coy:

What's a 19cm T4 housing equivalent to in a/r size? And does anyone know what the inducer size is for the HX50?

Never settle for a part as important as a turbo you should just wait and get what you really want and will give you the performance your really looking for. Trust me I settled because of a good deal on previous builds and it always came back to haunt me:notgood:

2- 25mm valves aren't near the flow of ONE 50mm valve..

The area of a circle equals pi X radius x radius

So, 2 25mm valves:

3.14X12.5X12.5 = 490.625 x 2 = 981.25 MM SQUARED

One 50mm valve:

3.14X25X25 = 1962.5 MM SQUARED

so, one 50mm valve will flow about the same as four 25mm valves:thumb:

ive been reading the countless holset threads for a while now. i am contemplating on switching my set up around and going with a hx35. i currently have pte5031e (50 trim) and im just wondering if it would be worth spending the money, or just stick with my current set up. id also be more interested in going t3 with the hx instead of mitsu. any input is appreciated! :)

Mike,
Were you able to get ahold of Randy (A.K.A snowprincess67) about the bent shaft on your HX40?
