car wont idle at all, makes a gargleing noise. the motor smokes from the timing belt side but i just rebuilt the head and did a whole headgasket timing belt job on the car. the car ran great for an hour then all of a sudden it just died while driving it. it wont go over 3000rpm and if i push the clutch in it just stalls.
the car will not go over 20mph

ill try to take one tommorow
but yea i was driving and all of a sudden it just died
car wont idle at all and when i give it gas it just goes to 3000rom and wont go no higher and wont go over 20mph
and the car makes like a muffled/gargling noise which is wierd
car ran like new yesturday and today

Kinda an obvious thing to check but take a look at your vaccum lines and intercooler piping for leaks. If something blew off it'll cause your car to do the same thing you're describing.

the smoke it on the rear of the motor. now that its light out im gonna check all my pipes

Agreed. Either boost leak or exhaust leak is possible too. Check to see if you plugged your maf in good also.

ok intercooler pipe fell off
but now car runs like shit and still makes that muffled gargling noise
the motor smoke but there is nothing leaking i think its just antifreeze and oil burning off the block from the rebuild. the car doesnt over heat at all.
the car still doesnt like to idle that well and wants to die out

My friend has a 96 gst and he had the same problem you are talking about. To me that sounds like you have a bad valve, most likely cracked. I would take the head off and check it out. My friend had the same problem, we took the head off and found 1 bad cracked valve, and the car would idle funny and sounded like a wrx. Take off the head and inspect your valves and let me know what you find.

i just literally rebuilt the head
there like ten miles on it
everything is perfect
i put in new valves and seals
so its not a crack valve
i think maybe my throttle body got dirty when the top ic pipe fell off im gonna go clean it

Thought you might have accidentally overlooked any part of the head. Hmm that's weird, are your plugs new and well gapped ? Is your power transitor good ? Bad spark plug cables ?

brand new ngk's, wires, the car was running mint till the ic pipe fell off. now it just idles wierd but when i give it gas it seems to drive fine till i come to a stop then it dies

Is your alternator good ? I had a 1g tsi awd with a bad alternator and on its last days it would run funny but never die on me, until the day it gave up. Started for a minute or two then died. Get your alternator checked out. Also if you haven't replaced your fuel filter its most likely clogged from years of use, replace that. It's what i can think of for now, let me know what happens, i'll get some more answers for you later.

It is located on the firewall, close next to the battery. You can spot it by looking at the pass. side of the fuel rail and following the fuel line to the filter.

ok thanks yea i went up to the mitsu dealer and talked to a mechanic
he said that once the intercooler pipe falls off and its driven for even a minute after that, the spark plugs automatically get fowled. so i ordered new ngks and they will be in at 3 today
i cleaned out the throttle body and intercooler pipe and i noticed it idles better but the car is kinda misfireing at the moment

now i went to get new plugs then came home and i noticed this gargling noise and coolant was oozing out the side off the motor right by the water pump. the same spot wear the previous head gasket went

yea im gonna look at the gasket
but yea there is def a lil bit of coolant dripping out of the head gasket
should it seal itself eventually?
i had the head at a machine shop and it was resurfaced and every thing

I don't know what that is but all those little "repair kits" i believe are useless. I would just take the head to get fixed again with a new gasket and make sure they corrrectly torque it down in the right pattern, and like boosted said, get your water pump gasket changed asap.

yea i know the coolant line on the passenger side of the motor is leaking
and the head was properly done i did it myself
and a certified mitsu mechanic was there to tourque down the head and do the timing

anyone ever use that bar's leak repair

I used the Prestone Stop Leak and it pretty much clogged every small diamter coolant hose on the car. It was my Saturn SC-2, but I'm sure would have a similar result with the DSM. I don't know about the Bars stuff, the particles look smaller than the prestone product. I would only ever use a "stop leak" again if I were in the desert with no other option.
