[RESOLVED] Vibrating around 70mph

Hey,
So today I'm going to class (first day I've driven since the snow started Friday) and I hit the highway and I notice an incraesing vibration. The faster I go the worse it seems to get. It feels almost as if my car is bouncing and seems like it is originating from the driver side. Any ideas before i go jump in the snow under my car.... I really need a garage. Lol anyone in kzoo have a neighborhood garage. Lol :thumb:

Wheel bearing, tires outta alignment/ balance, tie rod, ball joint. Any of those things.

Did you check to see if your struts are shot? My RS was like that and my back 2 struts were out.

Jack it up and check the suspension components. It is most likely a wheel bearing or the tires being out of balance.

Make sure you dont have a bunch of snow in your wheels causing them to be unbalanced.

Very true, I had a similar problem in my old beater Saturn. Ice would build up inside the rim and cause it shake violently. Damn Michigan winters.

It sounds like maybe a wheel wieght fell off which could cause the wheels to be unbalanced which could cause the vibration you are speaking of

Haha yeah my car was literally buried in snow this morning so that is probably what it is. I'll try breaking loose the ice and snow tomorrow before i go to work and see if that helps.

noone ever thinks of these things, nice one. One time it was so cold where I live that the tires has flat spots on them from being parked and my car would shake like crazy
