Not even a year after getting rid of the 2G and I now find myself with a '91 GVR4. ??? of 2000. The badge is missing, and from what I hear a previous owner turned it into a belt buckle.

It's driveable, but needs a good amount of work before I'll be happy with it. I'm switching over to maintenance mode on the evo (no new goodies) and going to start working on this thing after xmas.

sometimes you gotta start over good luck thinking about goin the same route but with an 2g awd.

Yeah, this is the white GVR4 that was at my friends house. He practically gave the thing to me so I couldn't say no.

I only have the one pic above that I took with my phone. It's really not worth taking any more pics. The paint is old, the clear is gone in some parts, there are a bunch of dings, a good size dent in the driver side front fender and a couple more on the passenger rear quarter panel. Nothing to be proud of right now. :p

Because of that and the price I got the car for I figure this would be a good opportunity for me to learn/practice something new. My plans right now are to try and fix up the appearance of the car, start reading up on body work and see if I can get some help from a friend of mine that works at a body shop. There are a couple spots of rust I need to take care of, then I'll try and straighten out all the dings/dents that can't be fixed by replacing a body panel. If that goes well I'll pick up a JDM front bumper w/projector fogs, and get the JDM vented hood, strip the car down and have it painted Belize Green. I figure if I do all the prep work myself, paying for paint shouldn't be that bad. I'll check with a few body shops for a quote on painting before I even get started on any body/prep work - see if it's even worth it...

If I go through with that, then I'll start restoring the rest of the car. One by one, parts will come off, get cleaned/media blasted, replace parts that need to be replaced, more paint.... replace bushings, things of that nature.

Also thinking, ditch the 4WS, get a 4 bolt LSD rear, 5 lug conversion, relocate the fuse box, fix any wiring issues, move the battery to the rear...

Building the engine would be the last thing I do.

These are my thoughts right now, loooooong project.
