TechShop is the SF Bay Area's Only Open-Access Public Workshop -- What Do You Want To Make at TechShop?

It's like a gym membership, but chock full of man-tools and fabricating equipment instead of weights and treadmills. They even have classes for using the equipment!

Does anyone have a membership at this place?

At first I thought it was a garage-like deal. Now THAT'd be cool.

I'd love to be a member at something like that. I was checking that out yesterday - they have a lot of good classes!

Yeah, the closest planned one to me looks like North Carolina. I sent them an e-mail asking them to please build one near DC.

I work at a tool and die shop, I have access to all these tools that are shown at Techshop

Guys at work are pressuring me to take apart my engine and bring it in just so they can machine it for me.

Hell if they're gonna machine it for free, I'll drive mine down there. Eh, what if you screw it up though? I don't think I trust Lofty working on my engine..... j/k
