So I have an evo1 16g sitting in my room which i was told is basically an evo3 16g but with a cast compressor housing. is this info correct?

whats numbers are on the compressor housing?

Its a TD05H housing and im guessing a serial number which is 49178-01

49178-01(42)0: Big 16G
49178-01(52)0: Small 16G
49178-01(47)0: EVO III 16G

well. mine is 49178-01(45)0. any ideas?

Yeah, its a big 16g from an EVO I. From GalantVR4.org - 16g info

49178-01(40)0: 14B
49178-01(41)0: Big 16G (VR-4 A-Spec, as in earlier model "Group A")
49178-01(42)0: Big 16G (VR-4 RS)
49178-01(45)0: Evo I Big 16G
49178-01(46)0: Evo II Big 16G
49178-01(47)0: EVO III 16G

49178-01(52)0: Small 16G

Do you know what would be the difference between that and a xx420?
