I hope you can see what the h1e can do. I will be for sure.

The above is a pick of 2 manual boost controllers. No need for high tech here. Tat's why you can run good control with an ebay wastegate. They arn't complicated. A TiAL spring will work with thes gate I have. So will a TiAL diaphragm.

Then why wouldn't you just go external and buy a larger spring or double them up so you don't always have to run the same amount if that's the only reason?

I am confused on what you are trying to ask me here. I don't like the space that the external took up on my old setup. If i ever stop being a piece of crap i would learn how to use the welder outside and make my own crap.
But that and the extra money, worth it yes i agree, needed I am not sure.

It's been a while since I've posted but I have a new update. It's actually a time-slip. I went out yesterday and gave it all it's got. The main issue was traction. Since I'm running a normal radial tire and the track was cool, I had issues getting out of the hole with anything better than a 1.8 60-ft. I had one really clean run in but my elbow hit my electronic dump closed during the run and totally botched the time and especially the trap speed.

Either way, here's my best run. I'm in the left hand lane and I was racing a full slicked 1G with a 3065.

She pulls very violently now. HX-35/40 hybrid is a top notch choice for the budget tuner.

What kind of boost was this one and was it on the bolt on housing. That bish is moving man. Also exactly which turbo do you have on yours?

I really want to run a hx40, but i want a full t4 setup (already have t4 mani), i wish bullseye had a t4 housing. I couldnt find one. It would go nice in my 2500lb awd car. Maybe i will sell the t4 mani and run the t3 70 ar housing. These turbos seem to be the way to go. I have been debating on a holset or a t-61 for the last 4 months. Still dont know what to pick. Hmm

37psi with zero boost leaks. The turbo is the stock Holset HX-35 straight off of a Dodge Ram. I had the wastegate welded shut and the compressor wheel changed to the HX-40 60mm version. The car f'ing YANKS.

You're his friend. He should know where to get a holset. You're not helping someone by telling them where you get a turbo on the forum when you've told them where to get these turbos in person. Didn't you tell him in person, since he's doing body work for you??? You're a bright guy. Please don't let this kind of posting drag on.

Just trying to keep it on the up and up. I don't have to defend his credibility just tryin to keep things relative. Anyway I didn't tell him in person but I will;) Anyway some HX40's have divided hotsides ihatedsms, so your problem is solved as long as your manifold is divided. Not to mention BEP does have T4 housing anyway so if you wanted to you could get one. No one buys them because holsets come with them. They're more comon with the borgwarner guys.

Lord. Just lookin @ these timeslips im getting a turboner. these things RIP.
gj to both of you.

ihatedsms...hit me up, i may have an hx40 connect for you, pm me or call me man, I gotta bring the car by neway
slip - i hit u up either yesterday or today, hit me back, and me u and jase gotta get together.

neway, i meant to ask, because I haven't been able to get through all these posts...is anyone on here running a WH1c, and if so how do you like it?

I know monsters running an h1c, and has told me alot about it, where if I can't grab an hx35 for a good price, those are in the mix, but I wanted to see some actual RESULTS from a wh1c...

I dont know much about them but what i do know is that they are badass turbos that are relativly cheap to buy, they spool quick and people have made over 500whp on a bolt on housing. Enough said.

I dont know everything and ill be the first to admit it. But if i dont i will ask people that i know will have the right answer. There are just alot of diffrent info on these threads, and was trying to get the right info. I had no idea how much these turbos usually go for except that you can get them pretty cheap. so why not ask people who have them where they got theres and how much they paid, so i have an idea of what im looking at. I dont see any harm in that. The whole reason for my post was basically where can i get the best deal on one.

And Slipp thanks, Im checking out bullseyes site right now to see what t4 housings they have. I think i have to email them to see tho because i dont see anything on the site yet.

Tim, this a absolutely awesome! Thanx for posting your results. . . is your car fullweight? 134mph would put you at 600whp!!! (based on Patrick Hale's formula) You have a LOW to mid 10second car. You just need seat time.

Same to you Gorbs88, your mph is close to TimG. You're DEFINATELY looking at over 550whp. I'd expect a 1.6 60-ft would have net you a sure 10 second run as well!!!

The only things taken out of the car is A/C, power steering and cruise control. Other than that, full interior and everything.

Yeah I had a lot of shit going on this weekend and today we we played football out in camden but anyway yeah those are some bad ass times. I want to fast track my build so I can contribute but I know with what I want to do it won't be fully up and about till next season becaquse money doesn't fall from trees LOL. Craig you better get you some slicks so you can actually use the power you gonna be making. I know a place carnu out in DE that has them cheap that's where I got mine from. There or ben pilla on 168. Is anyone else running a hx52 other than me biglady and boosted?

Hey, the best way to contribute is to have a thorough and patient build that will be reliable enough to go through the experimenting. My build is coming slowly too. 'm still on the market for a 1g AWD tranny and move all my parts over to my 1990 AWD shell. I'll be getting some numbers on the h1c this season coming up. I'd like to run my Road Dyno on the setup before then, since it's quite accurate. I'll at least have that, and airflow logging and 70-90 times as soon as I get the tranny.

. . . So the hx35/40 hybrid with the stock 12cm^2 housing (knife-edged?) is a 600whp turbo. . .This is sinking in. Those who bought the hx35 with bep housing for a faster spooling turbo than the hx40, can just go to a t3 manifold and put the stock housing back on, get the 60mm wheel installed and have a turbo in the range of a gt35r. Easy to upgrade down the road. This would be under $400 to do which includes the custom o2 housing.

Sheesh. The fact that your even stating that as much power has this hx35 is going to make in the BEP housing, theres a possibility that I'll want more, is almost scary.
Throwing the stock housing back on, getting a t3 manifold, and getting even more flow and boost? GROSS.
I could just cop like a t3 tubular mani and block off the external port(if it had one) right?

Sean, first off spell my name right if you're going to use it LOL.
Second off, I'll cop some slicks once I think I need them, the car tears second gear apart, chirps third, but thats on concrete. From the video/audio I have of my run (that I still swear woulda been a low 13/high 12 if I hadnt spun a bearing) the tires didnt tear so hard in second (though they did squeal) and third was GONE. that was a 14b. when the hx35 goes on, and is running good and right, if it makes the power its supposed to it'll tear all the gears up, so for the track, i'll pick up slicks then. but from a roll, anywhere, i'll be eating guys ALIVE.

Tim/Gorbs, great numbers guys. I'll be getting my block from the machine shop mid week. I'm ready to push the HX40....or my fuel system to the limits.

Tim is your profile mods list up to date?

This is how im running my wh1c. The only drawback i see so far is that if you use the stock internal, the hole is too small. I did a little port work on mine today. The hole is only 20mm. The flap is 28mm though, so you can port it out a little. My flap moves around alot, so i only opened mine up to 23-24mm. I also radiused where the gases merge. Before doing all of this it would creep to 30psi by 6k after i fixed all my boost leaks.

I always forget before pictures, so i put the discharge flange from the hx40 next to the wh1c for reference.

The wg flap on my 16cm hx40 is the same 28mm, but the hole is about 21.75mm. Ill measure the 18cm one when it gets here.

Thanx, yah the numbers seem to be pretty good so far. I want to push it ALOT farther since i am running stock intake and throttle body so far, also i KNOW i can run more boost as that run it was set at 33-34psi.

Also the motor is stock still too so if i make another 50-75 whp im sure things will get messy in a hurry.

Lol my bad. When you know people from around the way you don't spell out their name cause your used to saying it not writing it LOL. ROFL

You need to get a divided housing for the stuff that monster is talking about with the t3 housing. I know you too don't be trying to cop some knock off non divided shit either LOL. You will love your car with a hx35 smaller t3 divided housing and a t3 divided manifold.

Dammit.. Im starting realize why so few people run holsets. I've been trying to buy one for the last 3 months, but finding a part number for an hx40 pro with a 60mm inducer and a 19cm housing seems to be harder than photographing Nessie. I may just forget it and order a B/W S366 instead. I've tried multiple browser searches (Google, yahoo, and dogpile) as well as reading through hundreds of posts on multiple car and diesel forums in an attempt to locate the correct part numbers (assembly number) for hx40 pro turbos but even holset's web page doesn't list them. The last time I posted (a few pages back) I copied a list of all the available holset part numbers that the vendor I am trying to buy from has in stock. The seller is not willing to go rummage through thir entire inventory just to tell me which turbo is which so I need the correct part number so that I can go ahead and buy the damn turbo and ship it to my tuner so I can get my car back on the road. My car has been in Little Rock for 8 months, and the turbo is the only part I have left to buy to complete my upgrade. If any of you have any idea where I can find the correct hx40 pro assembly numbers I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

Josh
