Doesn't sound like a bad event.
I'll gather the fellas around and see if they are interested.

I need some daytime shots of the GSX, so I look forward to it.

i hope to be there as well i hope my car is fix by then but if not i will be in my jeep got rid of the little honda

I hate Hondas.

Speed Factorys isn't bad though.
My buddy Joel was running just shy of 9s last year.

Car should be there. Probably in break in period.
Motor went in tonight.

should we go to the meet earlier before 2? or something

Most DSMs are FWD. Not all hondas are FWD. So maybe you hate FWD and not an actual high powered auto maker?

AND your point is:boring:?, And yes I just said I hate FWD...:tease: Whether its a DSM a Honda or your covertiable ...ROFL I did'nt Say anything about An ACTUAL auto maker?WTF
I like fast cars ANY Make I just don't like driving FWD ones....

Yea my convert was FWD and decently quick but that has been long gone. I asked why the hate on Honda and you said why not and went on about FWD. To me it sounded like you hate on Honda because they make mostly FWD cars. If I misunderstood then my bad, I just don't like when people bash automakers based on just the import scene.

Btw, I own an S2000 now so have to say RWD>AWD :tease::p

an S2Gay?

Wow, I should wear my "#### Your Honda" sweatshirt:)

Waste of time and money to pour a shit ton of cash into a honda just to keep up with aspirated cars.

99% of the damn hondas you see nowa days are dumb high school kids thinking they are the shit. When I was in high school I bashed ALL of the import kids at school, because 99% of them thought they were cool and fast. the other 1% well, just joined the bandwagon. My car was known at my highschool for being the quickest, and even the turbo motor swapped hondas couldn't hang.

Thats the reason I hate hondas. They give imports a bad name. Period.

There are few exceptions, I'm nopt sippin' on HATERADE but the majority of them are ugly, sound like shit, and look even worse. Plain and simple.

S2K's are just as pointless, just like the NSX -- A poor mans sportscar IMO.

AWD>RWD>FWD

Survey:
Best platform for the Dry? AWD -- Quick and easy accelleration.
Best platform in the Snow? AWD -- RWD wont make it up the hill.
Best platform in the Rain? AWD -- Much more traction and controlability.

We'll leave out rallying, FWD does have benefits in that, but what platform is known for rally cars?
AWD.

Anything else?

Yes you are sippin haterade, infact I think you just drank the whole bottle. Hondas don't give imports a bad name, people do. How many riced out DSMs have you seen in your life, I've seen more then plenty. And how is it s2ks are pointless? Is it because they are track monsters in stock form?

People like you give imports a bad name. You bash automakers just because of a bunch of high school kids. I bet your the type that hates domestics too, right? You can wear your ''I love Honda shirt'' all you want buddy, it just futher relects how ignorant you really are.

Track monsters?
Thats ignorance right there.

Matter of fact, I don'tmind hondas in STOCK form.
I drive one everyday for reliability and MPG for a DD.

Furthermore, I know of very FEW honda owners that actually have a level head with their car. most of the rest of them give hondas and imports alone a bad name. Dont be bashful, you know this is true.

Also, DSMs are MUCH more rare than HONDA/ACURA -- I dont think we should compare riced out HONDAS to DSMs -- It's obvious who would lose that battle.

I love MANY other cars, just not the popular teeny bopper hondas that run around. Sure I'd drive an Acura TL. BEAUTIFUL car!

I have a Honda DD and used to have a Honda XR200/400R. See my point now chief?
Or shall I elaborate more for you?

Yes, I should.
for your Domestic comment:
My dad actually had an all motor vega running 9s. My mother used to have a 67 Camaro.
I'd love to have a Camaro, but my financial choices are much smarter, and with the cost of gas prices now days, I can get the same feeling out of my DSM, or as close to it as I can.
So lets not go there.

So you own Hondas but you hate them? You have a shirt that says screw honda but you drive one everyday? I think you got confused somewhere. S2000's don't do great at the track in stock form? Tell me they don't and I'll show you fellow s2k enthusists (sp?) around the world who would strongly disagree.

You act like I was defending the every day busted civic. I'm talking about cars in general that have real owners who pour everything they got whether it be a nice ek, a clean 1g, or some good old fasioned muscle. Not everyone thinks and acts like the typical tuner. Might wanna remember that when you go bashing someone else's car.

Oh and btw I never said there were more riced out DSMs then civics, I was simply saying they exist everywhere no matter what they drive, not just Honda.

No, I drive a honda for its purpose. Reliability, and good gas milage. I never said they don't do GREAT at the track, not once did that come out of my mouth. I said they arent track MONSTERS. Lets not over exxagerate a little, then back pedal once we figure out reality.

The fact of the matter is the only track monsters out there are what are built and designed for the track. An S2000 is not. Its meant to drive on US highways for the average driver to enjoy the ride. If you spewed out something like Porsche, yes. I'd agree. They are built around handling. They come from a track background, they just make massivly produced vehicles for everyday drivers on the US highways like you and myself.

Honda is not built around tracks, or racing. I dont remember the last time a honda won around a track, at a track, in the rally world, etc. Mainly becuase Honda focuses on selling cars and making reliability, and comfortability a top priority. The S2000 CR is actually just a stripped down model of the S2000, just to save weight and money for the enthusiasts, but doesn't exactly mean they are looking for the best track car.

I love my DD, good gasmilage, and easy to maintain.
Honda is a waste of money to spend. Why buy 2X the amount of parts it would take, rather than a better platform to start with and spend half the amount and still nice quick car. Just makes no sense to me.

Take your average 95 Civic LX. To make that thing actually perform, when its not meant to perform as a sports car, you have to put a motor in it (GSR B18 etc.) Turbo it, build the motor, axles, trans, etc. With that amount of cash spent, don't you think you could dump the money into a car that has better performance to begin with?
Thats my point. Hondas are pointless to modify, and in the long run still sound and look like shit.

Well to each your own I guess. The s2000 is a car then you can daily drive and take to the track in stock form. You're wrong to think otherwise. Putting money into a car isn't always about trying to go faster but obviously thats all you seem to care about.

Honda a waste of money to modify huh? I could easily say the same thing about DSMs and I don't even need to tell you why. Either way I'm pretty much done with this. I tried to be cool and get the word out about a huge meet coming out and here you are throwing it back in my face. Oh well it just proves no matter what car you drive their will always be some pretty cool down to earth owners, and then people like you. Anyways good luck on your build. I hope to see some DSMers out on the 18th.
