The previous owner gave it to me when i bought the car..and when i did my 14b install i put it on

any ideas in what brand it is..or who makes it

Thanks

By those welds, it almost looks homemade. I dont think they would sell a product with those semi-pretty welds.

They have a tendency to back off of our oil filter housings. I have read many stories about these filters destroying engines.

And for two they are very cheaply made, if you look at the internal construction of a Fram filter compaired to a Wix filter it is night and day. Fram is cheap, poorly designed, and poorly constructed.

Its a custom pie cut o2 housing.

AS far as fram is i hate them i have lost 2 motors and countless others destroyed from them.

All they are paper inside them dont believe me cut one open. They are junk

Older slowboy racing o2 housing I just saw one on ebay.

Looks a lot like mine. And mine was a homemade job from a friend of the person i bought it off of. It looks decent and no cracks. Well over 2 years old!!

Ive been using Fram oil filters for the two years ive owned my car and no problems yet. not saying you all are wrong but i havent had a problem yet. and im not about to pay 12 dollars for a k&n filter. that you put on drive for like three weeks and you have to change it again. :beatentodeath::talon:

Not like it needs to be said again, but I would agree that its a Hybrid Connection O2 housing. SBR use to sell them as well. Yes, they will defently be an improvement in flow vs the stocker.

As a side note, I haven't been impressed by an info I've found on the Fram filters either. Many, much better brands out there that don't cost a fortune for those who need to replace fairly regularly. I prefer OEM Mopar, I like the sealing gasket better then the oring Mitsu uses & they have just replaced/upgraded the filter for our application, which is now larger.
