That site you posted is the new ssautochrome site. They told me there taking down ssautochrome.com and to buy from the infopia one for cheaper prices.

By the way I ordered already, cant wait to get it! Ill actually post vids and pics unlike others LOL

Can you provide a link to the site where you ordered your exhaust from? I searched and the only SSAC site I found has the tbe for $325+$97 shipping!

Thanks! I e-mailed them and they said the response was they would have more in stock in about 45 days. I asked him what they would cost and he asked me what price that was. I told him I had seen it for $199 plus $49 shipped, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

i had an exhaust similar to this it was an ebay kit on my 2gnt and i loved it. it was a whole lot cheaper and it still sounded good. i had the car for 2 years with the exhaust on it and in ohio here we have some bad winters and it held up all good:thumb:

thank you for inquiring about this. I saw that it was sold out on their site, and they were no longer auctioning it off on ebay. There mustve been a good amount of 2g awd owners who got this, yet only a few have reviewed it on here.

Let us know if they agreed to the old price for $199 + 49, that was a damn steal for a 3" SS turboback! Try to bribe them saying, dsmtuners successfully made your SSAC FMIC popular, and we can do the same for the exhausts if they give us a special deal like the fmic. :thumb:

I am thinking about getting one of these exhaust systems very soon. To make this a full exhaust system, would i just have to get a cat, dp and a o2 housing? Would all of those have to be 3"? I looked at a few eBay hi-flow cats and none of them say 3". Same with the o2 sensor. Someone please PM me. I dont know anything about exhausts....

Thanks,

Shane

Good that you decided to keep the cat. I suggest you port your existing o2 housing or go with a stainless unit. There's no real need to go with 3" from the turbo back. Fitment issues crop up especially with a cat system. I found RRE to have the best down pipe and 3" high flow cat solution. Eclipse Exhaust System Upgrades I like to use eBay parts but like you I couldn't find a bolt on 3" high flow cat. Lots of cat eliminators though!
RRE bolts right up to the popular Espelier, RSR or Apex N-1, RS, WS or Dunk exhaust systems and the eBay knock offs of the same exhausts. I have it on my car. I needed to cut off a neck down and weld a 3" flange, also from RRE, on my Tsudo cat back exhaust but that was an easy mod.
2.5" is the easiest way to go fit-wise from the o2 housing to the flex connector. That's only about one foot of 2.5" pipe and the exhaust gases are still hot and haven't begun to expand much yet. I bought a "three inch stainless o2 housing" but it was actually about 2.5". No problem because it matched right up to the RRE downpipe. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/220351-ssautochrome-o2-housing.html#post50429883

yea i was gonna order the ebay headers 2 days ago, but then found a header + cat back kit for 100 bucks more; Then decided to wait till i got the extra 100 bucks.

If anyone out there is like me and was looking for an update on the availability of the SSAutochrome turbo back exhaust, I e-mailed them from the link on the site and here's the reply:

"Hello hopefully in about 45 days and yes I believe that price is still be honored as far as I know"

So, even though ewoevo was told 45 days (47 days ago) it's still 45 days from now. The good news is that they do think it will still be sold for $199 + $49 shipping.

The wait goes on.

I'd offer them $300 shipped if they put you at the top of the list and see what they say. I got mine off of ebay for that price...$250 is better, but I'd toss 'em a bone and see if it gets you any farther. Then you get to see just how loud it is vs. stock and see if you can stand it. I spent another $300 to customize mine (muffler, tips, welding added up to about $300, and I did all the cutting/fitment on the muffler). Anyway, maybe $50 extra might get their attention and get more of a response.

Good luck!

Cool, thanks for the update.:thumb: Keep us posted if you have any new updates!

I had posted at the beginning of this thread "07" when I bought my Ebay exhaust and I just want to report that the exhaust is still going strong. No leaks, no rust, all is good. Note though that I don't run my car in the winter. I had also replaced the down pipe at the same time and videoed the install "see post at the beginning of this thread for the link".

For me I think it was money well spent.

I used to be a big seller of the SSAC ebay cat back... as well as ALOT of FMIC on here...
They are still out of stock, talked to them last week about it.
I am not sure what is going on with that, it suck.
The system I sold was the bomb because it also included the DP. I am sure there are seveal here running it ad I bet there is a link to my old auctions somewhere in this post. I think I could swing a sweet price for the tuners group buy on these! Remember, the also come with the DP!
I wonder if we could get a minimum order of like 50+ to 100?

they are all sold out on ebay.

and YES DOWNPIPE AND CATBACK BOTH ALL for $234 SHIPPED TO YOUR DOOR!

eBay Motors: 95-99 MIT ECLIPSE GSX CATBACK EXHAUST W/DOWNPIPE 97 98 (item 170246258442 end time Aug-06-08 17:35:33 PDT)

above is an old auction but proof how much they were.

these are the same downpipes and catbacks that are selling separately still, but as a package for way cheaper.

lets make sure we get it for no more than $240 shipped because you can see thats how much it was sold for. :)

I am down for a group buy, but it would have to be similar to the price above, they have come and go. I'm not in a rush so I can wait until they offer them again for $234 shipped.

I'd be in for a group buy as well. I sent a reply to the person who sells them, but haven't heard back yet.

I would love to see the whole kit for sale again and I would snatch one up but considering the price of steel has gone up so much lately I think it will be hard to convince anyone to sell them at the same price. The price of any building supplies made with steel are up by about 50% over the last 18 months.

maybe just luck of the draw but i have had one on my gsx for about 3 years now and yeah a little rust but no problems as of yet.
