Nice choice on the IS.

I used to have a 99 GSX, sold it to Tom from ETS. Yes, I miss it everyday when I'm driving in my 08 civic LOL.

iunno too much about is300's but if a manual swap is easy to do you should do it. One of my friends had a 05? Not sure the years they came in manual but its an 04-05, and it pulled nicely for NA.

So was the AE86.
IS's can be good Drifting cars, if you mod em right.

Says the guy that didnt even know they were rwd until a couple of minutes ago. ROFL

I dont think you could compare this car to the roku.

For its weight I think its decent... switch on the ETC button along w/ manual shifting and it moves :).... alot more than I can say for the s2000 i ALMOST bought..

"Moves" as in almost a 15 second quarter mile? Maybe you were just driving the s2k wrong. Its hard to get the most out of them.

Uhhh I donno, with the saleman sitting in the passenger seat, the car was just another honda... all noise and no go.. :thumb:
Plus i realized how bad the car would be in the winter, LOL...

The s2k wasnt really meant to be a drag racer, but yeah I can see what you mean about the winter aspect. Around here stuff like that doesnt really matter.

IS300's are slow. Booster-Shot you definitely got that part right. I don't know if it was just me but I felt like an established older gentleman when I test drove one a few months back. The new 350's are where it's at.

I remember my friends brother had one, so whenever my friend got to drive it(we were 16) he felt like a mac.

So one day he took it out and I raced him from a dig to 65 in my tsi and had about a half a car on him. The only thing I had done to my car was a tbe.

whoa, no way!
Do you still have the white car?
IIRC the black car was your DD, and the white car was the project car, right?

Yessir. This means that for the first time in 3 years, I only have 1 DSM. It also means I will get off my ass and do something with this 1 DSM, because I don't have to keep 2 of them running :)

My DD is a tire-smoking 67HP Mercedes 240D...

I got rid of my black car and only have my white one now too... join the club.

good stuff! get that monster running

haha, my friend had one of those diesels, i think it was like an 82 or something. Leathered out inside with the woodgrain! haha We used to call it "the 240" all the time and when people were around i was like man, you should go do donuts in your 240 or we should go race your 240 against my talon and people just assumed it was a nissan haha...

Convert it to biodiesel!

Yup, mine's an 82 also... already brewing and running biodiesel :) Looking to sell it though - my dream vehicle would be a midsize diesel Toyota truck that I could tow the Eclipse with, though nothing like that exists in the US. There are people doing conversions, but eh. Probably pick up a TDI Golf or something.

It's weird, I get all inspired about my DSM in spurts, like I'll do nothing but work on it and it'll be awesome, then I'll tear it down and it'll sit for several months.

mahesh, you should sell the 240 and get the direct mitsubishi equivilant,... the STARION

(granted thats a different type of 240 than the one you have, I believe danny has already pointed out that nothing matters other than the name. Plus, they are both rwd front engine machines which are very rarely found in good condition, LOL.)

You suck. I could have used that car for smog too. Maybe you'll finally get the white car up and going.

After a couple months you finally sold it. congrats dude. get your gsx on the road. Did you ever find out who was flagging your post on craigslist? Im thinking the guy who bought it since he's interested and doesnt want anybody to get it.

I know, it's embarrassing to have an ad up for more than a couple weeks on Craigslist, LOL... still don't know who was flagging it but I'm guessing the price was set too high for his tastes when I had it up initially.

I sold it to an ex DSMer for his GF... she's got big plans for it, we'll see. Maybe we'll have a new member on here soon - he knows about Tuners and whatnot.

I even took a picture and a video. 5 years!

nice viper/truck that is a steal, theres a single cab down the street from me for sale for almost double that.

wow. Hell of a truck. I'd be afraid to treat it as a truck though. Enjoy your ride in any case.
