I love my Eclipse but I don't have the time or energy to tweak it much any more and the small size is geting to me. I wish I could have comfy daily driver SUV, a fuel effienct Civic, and a new sports car for the summer weekends. Unfortantly I'm stuck with my one and onle Eclipse GST...could be worse I guess LOL I just can't find a reasonable replacement for it/her :/ I do like the new Eclipse style tho, but it's not the same without the turbo and would be even more cooler with AWD. Price that for under 30K and I might be able to cut the mustard :)

Get an Evo 8 they got more room, 4doors, turbo, awd and can find them for an okay price.. but i got my 91 laser rs in process of building up, ford ranger truck and a turbo focus.

i have a 02 F-150, 00 Navigator, 96 Eclipse and 94 integra :D all 4 needed

It's good to have different types of cars. That way, you don't sell a car just to get another and later wish you never sold the first one. Example, you just had a baby and the DSM has to go. If you had another vehicle like a bigger car or SUV, you wouldn't have to sell the DSM.

03-04 SVT Cobra (supercharged)
EVO
Jeep rubicon
78 280z with V8
and of course my DSM

I would be set..

I don't see the point in ever needing more than two per head.

My GVR4 is both my race car AND my comfy daily driver. Well, it will be the daily once I get the front end welded back on in a week or so. :p Otherwise, I've been rocking a 22yr old Volvo station wagon since March. Talk about cushy. That thing just floats.

For $800, you can get a perfectly reliable, larger than life 245. While they're barely 4" shorter than a 64 Impala, the Volvo 240s can make a u-turn on a residential street within the curbs. You will hate the turning radius on your DSM even more after you drive a Volvo. Volvo. For life. :p

How long does it take a cheque from Sweden to clear? :p

if i ever hit it big at the casino down here the first thing im doing is going car shopping!

F250 diesel crew cab 4x4 (tow truck)
03 jeep sahara with everything or poison spyder bruiser full custom off road tube buggie
99 gsx with every goodie i can throw at it and still be streetable
Im not sure on the SUV there are alot of nice ones out there...maybe and 08 aftermarket tahoe (regency or southern comfort addition) Maybe just a crew cab Tundra...they have as much room as an SUV

Then it would be a hard choice between a really nice luxury car or a really nice sports car. I dont know if i wanna pull up and valet a really nice lexus or BMW. Or maybe a Z06, NSX, possibly a viper.

That would be my dream to have all those at my disposal and just be able to use what i need an have everything i want. I want a truck really bad right now but id have to get rid of my car to get it and then i know ill want a car after a few months. Thats probably why ive been thru about 15 cars in the 6 years ive been driving LOL

I wish I could have more, but just recently I purcheased a 1983 Porsche 944 so I could have some fun on the weekends and let the Talon rest from being my DD

***I see it this way, Daily Driven FWD, Race or touge RWD and a Jeep 4x4 for what ever life trows at you!

92 mazda mx-3 (daily driver 30mpg)
00 bmw 528i (wife daily/long dist car)
90 talon= hogs the garage to itself.

I have a few

Jeep wrangler
73 Midget
and the spyder

The easiest way to have more than one car is to get a collector car, I pay about $50 every 6 months for full comp on the MG, the spyder and the Jeep cost a bit more.

97 Eclipse RS (daily)
95 Talon ESi (bad transmission)
02 Ford Ranger (for hauling)
96 Ford Explorer V8 All Wheel Drive (for hauling bigger things/pulling/driving in snow)
89 Pontiac Sunbird (waiting to be taken to the scrap yard)
71 Buick Riviera (my first car and I love it)
68 Ford Torino GT (My Father restored this car from the ground up, I'm never selling it. It's my cruising car/beast)
69 Lincoln Continental (One of the smoothest riding cars I've ever been in)
69 Mustang Mach 1 (Currently rolling chassis, was my father's last project, and will be continued when I get time/money)
65 Mustang (rolling chassis)

As you can see I have a lot of cars LOL. My father passed away in April so I inherited all of the Fords and the Lincoln. I don't think I could ever get rid of any of them, they're all sweet vehicles and have their own sentimental value. Don't worry I don't keep all of them on the insurance :p I'd have to get another job just to pay for it. And almost all of them have room in one of my garages, so they don't have to sit outside :thumb:

Heres my wish list not that Unrealistic either. :thumb:

If it was up to me, I'd own like 10. I'm a Mitsu fan boy. I plan on owning these vehicles one day:
3kgt VR4, 89-92 GVR4, 1g DSM, Evo 8 or 9, Evo 3.
Of course I also have a secret fetish for a Supra, 240sx, Toyota pickup, 60's and F-body Mustang, Camaro: old and new, 70's Dodge Charger, Skyline GT-R, and the Vette Stingrays.

92 blazer 4x4 (gasss hoggg)
97 gst

pic: so deep mufflers were covered :) not bad for non lifted truck

I've never had to rely on my DSM for transportation. IMO, it's smart to NOT rely on any decently modified vehicle for a daily driver. I've always had 2-3 vehicles at any given time ever since I bought my first DSM at 18 years old.

Also, if you don't have a car payment now, why would you consider getting one? Isn't it so convenient not having one? If you can afford to buy a $25K car, then it would be much cheaper to keep your Eclipse, and then buy that Civic and SUV.

I have my Eclipse for my weekend warrior, my Talon for the hobby of building and track-only racing, and my Grand Prix for a daily/winter beater. I paid $500 for the Grand Prix 3 years ago. That's less than two payments on a new Eclipse/EVO. You can't beat that for reliable and efficient daily driving.

I'm happy with my two, 95 gsx and 06 gti...I'd considerd trading the gti for the 08 r32...but alas, my job has become less certain recently....so best to stay out of debt. I had considered a motorcycle.....but the only thing I liked was the yamaha midnight warrior.
