+1 on what is it tuned with? If nothing, then I would be wary of how he's ran it. I would hope he at least used a safc.

Less than 100k on rebuild...:D Kind of funny since I'm used to seeing less than 10k or less than 1k on rebuild but less than 100k. But it looks really nice! Take it for a test drive.

DSMlink, SAFC, AEM Stand Alone... Things you use when you upgrade the injectors and add more fuel.

I'm sure someone can explain this better than I ever could for you.

:dsm:

he says tuning because with the 750cc fuel injectors, you have to tune them so the car runs right. By either an safc or dsmlink or a custom chip or a maft. Ask how much boost he is running?

beefy cams could be a bandaid statement for that strange lumpy idle it seems to haveROFL:thumb:

Not saying it does have a lumpy idle just curious as to what those "beefy cams" could really be and if he has got all the fueling mods with no adjustable regulator then the rings could be wonderfully washed down....maybe he went over-bore on the rebuild and the block is not salvagable to over-bore again....all just ideas but it looks too good to be true in my opinion I would be skeptical

two things.......LONG test drive(preferably with a buddy to watch for smoke) beat on it a bit too and a compression test......all good from there and I would snatch that thing up:thumb:

Yes to everyone on here. Test drive it. Figure out what he tuned it with. Figure out who rebuilt the motor and why/how he blew it up. Make sure there is no rust. Make sure it shifts smoothly, look at all the aftermarket work done, if it looks clean, or if it looks like a ghetto rig up.

Personally i bought a 91 dsm that didn't run. And the guy didn't know what was wrong with it. The car was from canada when he bought it. So rust problems out to wazzoo, brakes didn't work, transmission grinded, but it came with a lot of goodies.

Goodie list: 8 gallon fuel cell, aeromotive v1000 fuel pump with regulator up front, holley fuel rail, 550cc injectors, big 16g, fmic, 2g mass, AVCR, SAFC.. and other stuff i am probably forgetting.. but all in all i paid 3500... so i hope you get a better deal than i did. . oh yea brand new paint beautiful pearl white and metallic gunmettal on top.. brand new yokohamas 245's all around...

good luck

I plan to give it a long test drive, and to get into it.

Any ideas on where I could go to get a compression test? I've got an Autozone and an Oreily Autoparts, don't know if they do them or not though.. I believe the dealerships do them for 50$. Also what kind of ratio am I looking for, I was reading up on some site saying I should be around:

Compression ratio: 7.8:1
Standard compression: 164psi
Service limit: 121psi
