So i just dropped a fully rebuilt 7 bolt into my 99 gst yesturday. I hook all the wires up and go to start it after priming it for oil. All the engine does is crank over. I found out im not getting fuel or spark at all. I tried rotating the cam angle sensor and nothing changed. Im not sure what to do at this point im thinking i have to buy both a crankshaft position sensor and a new cam angle sensor and see if that fixes the problem... unless someone else knows of something else that would cause this. The car did run fine about 2 months until the motor blew so i would believe all the sensors are fine and the car's ecu should be fine also. Is there a way to test both of those sensors to see if its actually sending any information to the ecu.

I would say a new CAS.
That's all I can really think of, but I'm sure someone has more insight.

So, I assume the engine ran before the transplant? When you say no fuel, you mean the injectors aren't pulsing? That is the one place where spark and fuel do come together. If the pcm doesn't see a crank signal, you will not have an injector pulse. See if you have 12 volts on your injectors. Then put your test light lead on the positive post and probing the grounding side, have some one crank the engine to see if your light "winks" Go back over your install and see if something either didn't get plugged in, or did not get plugged in "properly". Somewhere in there you will have an AHA moment when you perhaps chance upon the source of your situation.

Do some preliminaries, check the injectors like I suggested, and post the results. I'm in school so I can't check till evenings.

Good Luck

the injectors arent pulsing its a fully rebuilt motor from a company. everything that i can see is plugged in and they should be in the correct locations. Im not getting spark or fuel and i know i plugged both the crankshaft position sensor in and the CAS in. Unless they are bad i dont know what to do.

well have you checked EVERYTHING and i dont think that the sensors are bad just check between your injector resistor and other plugs

i did actually check the injector resistor pack i had two of them so i swapped them one after the other and nothing. They are new plugs but old wires, the only reason i dont believe its the wires is that none of the plugs are sparking so there is no possible way that all the wires went bad when they working two months ago. Im ###### gunna go to autozone tomorrow and pick up a new CAS and a new Crankshaft position sensor and start by replacing the CAS and see what happens... i really hope its not the crankshaft position sensor ### i would have to pull the motor out again....
